Chapter 12

Archer Lancaster

I woke up in the morning to the unfamiliar surroundings of the guest room. The events of the previous night trickled back into my consciousness, and a sense of slight embarrassment washed over me. I couldn't believe how frustrated I'd allowed myself to become during my conversation with Georgie.

After a quick shower to wash away the remnants of the night, I found my way downstairs. My mother helped me get the kids ready for school as they were crying and cribbing a lot because they missed their mother.

I couldn't help but wonder where Georgie had spent the night, but the neatly made bed in my room hinted that she had been there and left for work.

Entering the conference room in the house, I found my younger brother, Asher, engaged in an animated conversation with Aurora. Asher, with his inherent charm, had a way of making women feel at ease. He had habit of harmlessly flirting with women who usually ended up falling in love with him because of it.
