Tugging the Lion's tail

Kon winced.

It had been two days since that night, yet he wasn't fully recovered.

"Fuck that man." He seethed in anger, rubbing his butt a bit.

Kon glanced out through the window at Osy's men, who were running through the place like kids.

"Pfft."

"What's so funny?"

Startled, Kon almost fell on his butt, had it not been for the arm of the chair.

"I apologise if my actions startled you," Scorpion said, not feeling apologetic at all.

It had been two days since Osy had his way with the boy, but he was yet to see Osy ask him out of the house, which wasn't like him.

Not only did Osy not sleep in the same bed with anyone he had sex with, but he also gave them the red card after the night. He didn't attach any strings to those one-night stands.

But the same couldn't be said for Kon.

Not only did Osy allow him into his room, but he had also been taking care of Kon since that night.

He hadn't shown any signs of sending Kon back to his home.

And worst of all, he had Scorpion babysitting Kon most of the time, which seemed to annoy Scorpion more.

"It's okay." Kon forced a smile. "I was too engrossed to pay attention to my surroundings." He turned back to the window.

"Are you going out?" Scorpion walked over to the cushion opposite the one Kon was sitting on and sat down.

"No, I don't think so." Kon sighed. "I would have loved to go out, at least take a breath, but I can barely stand for long."

Scorpion pretended as if he didn't know the reason for Kon's supposed pains.

"Why? Exercise will do you great." Scorpion leaned on the cushion. "You can take a walk through the park, or visit your friend." Scorpion raised a brow.

"My friend? That's true!" Kon rose so fast that a gasp escaped his mouth. "I guess I'm not fully recovered." He forced a smile, yet didn't sit back. "It has been a long time since I last saw Lin. Let's go." He slowly started for the door, while Scorpion watched him with a sly smile.

His plans were working without him having to do much.

All he had to do was sow the seed, and it germinated on its own.

"What are you still doing? Let's go." Kon urged Scorpion, who was still sitting despite his proposition.

"I'm coming."

"Kon!" Lin ran towards him the moment he saw him.

Without a thought, he jumped on Kon, hugging him tightly.

Kon grimaced but didn't allow the pain to show.

"Where have you been, Kon? I missed you so much!" He hugged him tightly.

"Now, can you release me? People are watching."

"Oh, sorry!" He released Kon. "I missed you so much, Kon!" Lin frowned. "Where were you for the past three days? I've almost gone mad with worry!"

"I'm sorry about that, love." Kon smiled. "I was occupied with something."

"And here I thought that man must have done something to you!"

*Oh, he did do something to me,* Kon thought, but didn't say it aloud. Instead, he beamed at Lin.

"What do you say? Let's have a cup of coffee?"

"We are surely having more than a cup of coffee, Kon. I've missed you more than you can ever think possible."

Kon chuckled.

"I've missed you too, Lin."

He allowed Lin to drag him towards the café, while Scorpion followed, with a sly smile.

Things were going great.

Osy stared at his business partner. His eyes were hard and unyielding.

"This will work. I guarantee you will have a lot of profit from this venture. Just sign the proposal and leave everything to me." The older man said, a bit nervous from the stares he was getting from Osy.

He knew that any mistake on his part might cost him not only his empire but also his life.

Osy wasn't one to be played with. He put a bullet in your head before asking any questions.

"And why do you think I should trust you when the last project didn't work out?" Osy crossed his right leg over his left and leaned on his chair.

This meeting was getting boring for him, and he wanted to hasten it to return to Kon's side.

A smile played at the side of his lips at the thought of how childish Kon was acting.

The older man shivered at the expression on his face.

His heartbeat increased drastically.

Osy's smile was not good news at all. It only meant blood was about to spill.

"If you don't like my proposal, we can leave it at that." He swallowed, looking like a deer caught in headlights.

"Why?" Osy uncrossed his legs. "I kind of like your proposal. Can you go through it again?"

The older man swallowed.

His eyes darted to the door before they returned to Osy.

The change in Osy's expression wasn't something to be happy about. It meant nothing but bad luck.

"On second thought, I think we should leave things the way they are." The older man nervously smiled. "I will think—"

Osy's phone dinged with a notification.

He picked up his phone from the table and unlocked it.

"Fuck!" He hit his phone on the ground and rose to his feet.

Startled, the older man fell to the ground, shocked by Osy's action.

Osy didn't spare him a glance. He stomped over to the door and left.

His face had nothing but 'murder' written all over it.

"Sir—"

One of his men started to say, but the glare he got from him caused him to shut up very fast.

Osy headed over to his car. Instead of going over to the back seat, he walked to the driver's side and knocked on the door.

"Sir—"

"Get out!" He growled at his driver.

At the speed of lightning, his driver got down.

Osy entered the car without a moment of hesitation and zoomed off.
