Breakfast was silent. Sebastian eyed me like a piece of toast. I could hear the whispering of the maids, giggling as they stared from the far corner of the room.

"Are you okay, Madam Kierra?" Tobi asked while sipping his glass of milk. His small voice broke the tension. "Why do you have bite marks all over your neck?"

I nearly choked on my orange juice. With a startled gasp, I lifted my hand and covered the blemishes that painted my neck. I hadn’t realized how visible they were.

Sebastian leaned back against his chair, clad in his robe, an infuriating smirk spreading across his face. He had bite marks too, scattered along his collarbone, bold and possessive—marks I’d left there. I stared daggers at him.

"I-It’s just insect bites," I said quickly.

Tobi tilted his head thoughtfully. "Too big for insect bites, don’t you think, Tobi?" Sebastian chimed in, delighting in my embarrassment.

Tobi shrugged. "Whatever Madam Kierra says, sir."

“We have everything, Davide.” From the other side of the interrogation room’s screen, I showed Davide his list of buyers, their addresses, and an interesting spot on the map that they seemed to frequent. Davide’s depressed eyes switched into horror as I tauntingly waved the piece of paper in the air.In agitation, he recognized the names written on them, stood up towards the screen, and banged it like his life depended on it. “Kierra, no! You don’t understand! You cannot go to those places!”I crossed my legs and gave him a mocking smirk, “And why not? Afraid we’ll learn something from you?”Davide knelt down on me, crying and begging. “I’m sorry, Kierra! I know what I’ve done to you is unforgivable! But please, just this one time— believe me! Don’t investigate it!”Sebastian and I looked at one another. What an ominous warning.“Why not?” Alexandrei crossed his arm against his chest and leaned against the screen. “What are you hiding, Mr. Hail?”“Just don’t fucking do it! Do you k

The cooperation of Noir de Costas shook the morale of the members. Most of them did not acknowledge the Commandant for his help, but Alexandrei didn’t pay attention. All that mattered to him was Sebastian’s decision. He explained to them that the cooperation was only temporary. “We were able to work for many politicians to get rid of people and become protected, but this operation is not requested by the government.” He told them. “If we want to catch the bigger fish of the Hails and be fully covered, the police should be our ally, even for this once.”“The Intelligence Unit holds dominion over the police. We instruct them what to do, the Police General is no longer in the play.”I look at Alexandrei with confusion. “What do you mean?”“I hold the strings, now.” He simply answered. “I have my ways.”I admit, I was impressed.“Since this is Sebastian’s operation and we only want the bad guys, we’ll give you freedom on how you’ll handle it. When you’re done, we’ll take custody of the

  • The Mafia Devil's Princess   A Night with the Devil

Sebastian tore off my clothes with his bare hands leaving my bare skin. His glazed, bleary eyes focuses into my soul. I could see him clench his jaw, as if suppressing the beast that has started to claw its way out of his mind. His head, filled with dark thoughts.I wondered what went through them when licked his lips, ready to devour me. I could only hear my own heart ringing into my ears. My vision was clouded in a haze of lust that only I can see— the lust that manifested in a form of a perfect, man— Sebastian Novair. With his hair slicked back, now a mess. His broad shoulders that would carry my weight like a feather. His muscles that carved his body in ways a god couldn’t. His chiseled abdomen that packed a decade of harsh training.God, even his tattoos… ones that spiraled over scars like a black dragon aroused me. How can a man be so perfect?I should have pushed him away earlier. But my body couldn’t. And it didn’t help that my heart and mind was deeply smitten with him too.

  • The Mafia Devil's Princess   Surrendering to the Demon

15 YEARS AGO“Kierra, sweetie. You need to come home.” I found myself in a spot I regularly frequented fifteen years ago. I was a mere kid, living a simple life when all of a sudden, my aunt called from abroad. I had lived with my grandparents ever since I was a kid. My father regularly visited me, but we were never close. We used to be when Mom was still alive. All I knew at that time was that he was working at a place so far. My grandparents were protective of me, not letting me step into the city until the call came. It was only then that my life changed.“Sweetie, you need to take over Eboncorp.” I was young and naive. I didn’t know my father too well, but he treated me right. I had huge respect for him, but not for the way he ran things. The news came like a thunderclap. Within moments, my world came to a stop when my aunt whispered to the phone, “Your Dad is dead.”I remember dropping the phone as the world stilled before me. My grandparents heard the call too. I remember th

  • The Mafia Devil's Princess   All Again

I arrived at the scene far too late.I received the call after extracting the hard truth from the businessman’s face. Mr. Gandulf lay on the floor of the V.I.P. room, unconscious as our little struggle ceased. I had knocked him out when he tried to escape the room.I learned the ugly truth. The truth that Letty… can no longer be found.Letty had been sold to Gandulf on the night I had left her in the bar. The sinking feeling of having to let Letty go back in AngelHaven was not for naught. I shouldn’t have brought her back to the den of wolves. This was all my fault.I grabbed Mr. Gandulf’s phone for evidence. There, multiple photos of AngelHaven’s women were ridiculed and slain. Mr. Gandulf was not just a businessman. He consumes gore media of people torturing women, and his gallery is full of them. When I went through the videos, I nearly vomited. Their screams echoed their way into my head, and even if I had pressed pause, the screams continued to ring in my mind, followed by laught
