Kaiden:

I step out of my shower to find my tablet in Daisy's hands.

"You know, you keep implicating yourself. For someone who swears she has no idea what's going on." I tell her as I make my way towards my closet.

Pulling out a pair of basketball shorts and a shirt. Turning around, I watch her avert her gaze as I pull on the clothes.

"Nothing to say?" I bait her.

She places the device beside her and keeps her eyes pinned away.

Frustrated by her silence I head to the bed and climb in. Keeping my eyes fixed on her form on the couch.

"You weren't lying, were you? He did steal from you." She says quietly.

I don't answer. I keep watching her as she buries her face into her hands. Her shoulders are slumped.

The defeat in her posture irks me. I'm used to her kicking and screaming not this resigned version of her.

Sighing I stand up from the bed and make my way towards her. She stiffens and peeks up at me from between her fingers.
