Sofia's POV

When I entered the building, I was welcomed by the disco light that painted the room in a kaleidoscope of colors.

Laughter and chatter mixed with the pulsating beats of the DJ and the energetic atmosphere embraced my presence.

Waoh! This is cool, just like in the movies.

I looked around in admiration and a cute smile curved at the corner of my lips.

My observation was suddenly interrupted by a grip against my wrist and I turned my head swiftly.

My expression was now cold and I grip the gun I was touching inside my purse.

"Hey, what are you doing standing there? Are you new here?" The person who had tugged my hand was a young woman who could be assumed to be the same age as me.

She was dancing happily but when she saw the frown on my face, She apologized " I'm sorry..."

Before I could say a word, she had danced away already.

Just then I noticed a group of seductively dressed women walk in through the door.

There were five of them and they temporarily had their eyes on me b

  • The Mafia Princess    216: The Launch Code

Sofia’s POV "Shut up!" My voice cracked out of me before I could catch it. The world around me felt like it was spinning. The air was too thin. My vision blurred, not from fear, no, but from the toxic, twisting nausea in my chest. Her words... that voice… the Interagent's voice crawled into my skull like venom and settled in the hollows of my shame. No. I was not like her. I will never be like her. She stood there, the same twisted smirk pulling at her lips as though my pain was her entertainment. A smile that dared to mock what little air I had left in my lungs. "Ball’s in your court, Queen," Rosita said with a tilt of her head, the sickly sweetness gone, replaced by sharp indifference, "I'm done with this conversation. The code" I swallowed. My throat burned. My fists clenched until I felt my nails dig into my palms. "How do I trust you?" I asked, the words barely laced in the breath I had left, “What if you walk away and decide to change your mind?” Her eyes

  • The Mafia Princess    215: Become Like Me

Sofia’s POVMy fingers trembled, but not from the cold of the warehouse. The muzzle of my gun stayed locked on Rosita’s skull, my finger curled firm around the trigger, but my vision… my vision was blurring. It wasn’t just fear.Tears were breaking free from my lashes, silent and hot. I couldn’t stop them anymore. They traced my cheeks like ink, dragging everything I’d worked so hard for down with them. Years of planning, of sacrifice, of becoming someone else… shattered in one night like cheap porcelain dropped on the floor. She knew. She fvcking knew everything.I thought I’d hidden well. I thought I was off her radar. Aurora DE Santa was supposed to be perfect. Impeccable. Untouchable. But the Interagent… she never took her eyes off me. Not once. She just waited....waited until the cyber weapon was completed. And then she struck.“Leave my children out of this,” I choked, my voice hoarse as if scraped raw from the inside, “This is between you and me”Rosita tilted her head, h

  • The Mafia Princess    214: Room 310

Clancy's POVMy Rolls-Royce Phantom came to a halt at the curb of Mayen Tower Hotel, and my driver scrambled out to open the door like his life depended on it.I stepped out slowly.Tailored Armani suit hugging my frame. Polished shoes kissing the concrete like a signature. I didn’t need to say a word--my presence was thunder in silence.Behind me, the other blacked-out luxury vehicles lined up, fanning out like loyal dogs. A king’s entrance.Matteo rushed to my side.He always looked one word away from pissing his pants when I didn’t speak. I preferred it that way.But something felt…off. No bellboy. No doorman. No smiling receptionist to fake welcome. The lobby, though faintly luxurious with its marble tiles and gold-veined counters, was strangely empty. The lights flickered slightly overhead.Chandelier crystals shimmered, but there was no music, no scent of fresh flowers like any true upper-tier hotel should have. It was like someone designed it to appear expensive but forgot

  • The Mafia Princess    213: The Culprit

Sofia’s POVThe soft rumble of the vehicle beneath me was the only thing I could feel until a voice pierced through the weight in my mind."Your Highness," Agent 47 called gently from the front seat, “We’re close.”My eyes blinked open and I sat up, disoriented for a moment. I had fallen asleep? Damn it.“How long have I been out?” I asked, voice hoarse as I straightened, already reaching for my phone.“Thirty-five minutes. Madam Gloria wants to speak with you,” he added, gaze still fixed ahead like a machine programmed for war.I checked my phone. Two missed calls from Gloria. Just as I was processing that, the screen lit up again with her name.I swiped to answer before the first ring could complete.“Glory, did you find anything?” I asked breathlessly. Her voice came steady but urgent, “Sofia, listen to me. I used Giada’s GPS history to triangulate where her movements deviated. She did arrive at the mall and even stayed about thirty minutes, but after that... she didn’t leave in

  • The Mafia Princess    212: The Connection

Clancy’s POVThe jet’s wheels had barely kissed the tarmac before I was already loosening the button of my collar. My patience was a rare currency these days, and I had none left to waste. As I descended the jet stairs,a black line of polished vehicles awaited, purring silently beneath the golden morning haze, and Matteo stood in front of them, too eager, too proud. But I wasn't looking at him. My mind wasn’t even in New York anymore. It was back there.Back to her.Back to that goddamn elevator.I should’ve stayed to seize Giada at the parking lot, twist her secrets out of her mouth but the Mayen Tower lead changed everything. That ghost of a hotel, existing on paper but not in my grid? That was no coincidence. That was a declaration of war… or of defiance. And if Aurora DE Santa really was hiding there?I didn’t even realize I had paused at the last step of the jet until a gust of wind kissed my jaw and brought with it a lingering trace of her scent--sweet, clean, faintly flo

  • The Mafia Princess    211: She Is Missing

The glow of the laptop screen flickered softly in the dark, illuminating the deep furrow between my brows. My fingers paused midair over the keyboard as my eyes tracked the pings on the map."Multiple locations...?" I murmured under my breath, dragging the cursor slowly across the highlighted dots, "No, no, no..." My voice cracked, my chest tightening with every passing second. This wasn’t right.Giada never allowed her GPS to multi-ping unless she thought someone was following her. And she would always text me if something was off. My throat dried instantly. My body stiffened, my palms beginning to sweat. A cold shiver danced down my spine, and I leaned back, blinking rapidly as if the action would somehow reconfigure the chaos in front of me.“Damn it, Giada. What happened?” My voice trembled.I forced my focus and searched the network for possible third-party intrusion. Nothing. No signs of external tracking.Which meant...She triggered this herself. And that only confirmed
