Chapter Seventeen

The flight landed early in the morning reaching Detroit. Cody and Selena were excited. But she could also feel the tension in the air. She ran her fingers on the necklace, the blood rubies, and the diamonds.

"Thanks, it's beautiful. But I told you not to buy it." She said to him, turning on her heels.

"I made words to you." He said, striding toward her. He hugged her from behind, his arms were soft around her stomach.

She felt the slight change in the air, "I won't try to break in your security." She covered his large hand with her small one.

"That's not my concern." He admitted.

Sniveling her neck, she peered at him, "Then?" She asked.

"Sit," He motioned at the mattress.

Taking steps away from him, she sat down, keeping her gaze on him. He lifted his hand clenching the gun, with a holster.

She bared her thigh as realized it. A smile tugged on his lips. He bent over. His warm hand slid around her thigh. His touch was so
