28. APOLOGY

Bojana finished supervising my checkup session and didn't fail to irritate and annoy me.

“Serves you right. Why would you even make the mistake of entering Rocco's room? Be thankful that you were not sent to your early grave,” she sneered.

I didn't know when I released a scoff at her words. I had known her to be annoying, but she was on a different level that morning.

It was obvious that she loved what had happened to me. She probably would have giggled at and mocked me when she heard the news of the attack.

“Would you have been happily dancing around my coffin?” I spat out, and she shrugged.

“I'm not a good dancer, but I'll try my best”, she remarked, and made my inside churn.

“You will be fine after the cast gets removed in two days’ time. There's no need to be dramatic about anything”, she concluded, and left the room.

I stood in front of the mirror, checking out my neck immediately as she left. I could feel a faint wave of pain around my neck and throat as I swallowed
