4. Marriage for Revenge

"Did I hear wrong?" asked a man who had been in the room all along. However, he was only paying attention to the one in front of him.

Orella looked in the direction of the man's voice, and the man approached her. She was shocked when she saw the man's face, and her blood boiled even more when he was near her.

"Of course I want her. This woman must enter the Ludovic family. Nothing can stop me!" said the old man as he looked at the young man beside him.

The young man again expressed his disagreement with what the older man, who was none other than his father, wanted. While they were arguing, Orella just stared at the man with mounting anger. She clenched her hands into fists to hold back her emotions so as not to cause any more trouble for her father or the Maldini family.

"I'm willing to join the family, Ludovic," said Orella, surprising everyone in the room, including her father.

"Honey, say it again! Did I hear you wrong?" Ilario asked his daughter.

"I am willing to marry into Ludovic's family," Orella replied again, this time in a firm tone.

The old man laughed happily at Orella's words and said, "Announce to everyone that my son Dante Laurenzo Ludovic is getting married to Orella Daria Maldini."

"What?" asked the young man who had just argued with the old man. He was none other than Dante.

"Of course I want her for you," the father replied to his son and left the room.

"Father!" shouted Dante. However, his father ignored him and continued to walk out of the room, followed by several other people, including Ilario Maldini.

Orella was still staring intently at Dante. In the back of her mind, she also felt surprised because she thought she would marry the old man. However, the old man wanted her to marry the man in front of her right now.

"Aren't you scared to death of coming into my family?" asked Dante with a cold tone and emphasis on every word.

"Death... I've already died once so why am I afraid to die once again."

Orella smiled slightly, then turned around and left the man. Although in her heart she wanted to beat the man with both hands and even finish him.

"I'll never forget that face. Get ready Dante Laurenzo Ludovic," Orella muttered as she continued walking.

She paused for a moment when she saw Silvia, who was probably waiting for her outside the room. Orella looked at the confused woman in front of her.

"What's wrong? Do you have something to ask?" Orella asked her friend.

"Are you serious about your decision? Don't you know the man's actions? You should rethink your decision to marry him," Silvia replied with several questions to her friend.

"My mind is made up. I'm going to marry him," Orella replied as she continued to leave the room. Silvia continued to follow her.

Her friend kept questioning her about her decision to marry Dante. It was clear that Silvia was worried about her.

***

The wedding day arrived. Orella stood in front of the mirror and looked at herself in her wedding dress. She thought back to the night that killed her brother.

"All those who have made you disappear will die at my hands," Orella muttered.

She looked at the open door. Orella saw her father approaching her.

"Orella, you can cancel this wedding if you don't want to," the father said as he looked at his daughter.

Orella listened to everything her father said. She knew that her father did not want her to suffer in the Ludovic family, which was full of intrigue and unspeakable cruelty.

However, none of that will stop her from entering the Ludovic family because she knows that the family has something to do with Dante's death. And she also wanted to avenge everyone who had raised the incident one year ago.

"I don't want to lose anymore. You're all I have after my son's death," the father told Orella again.

"Dad, do you know if Juan's death has anything to do with them?" asked Orella, who felt that her father already knew something.

Orella saw that her father was silent. She became increasingly convinced that he already knew something about the incident one year ago. She continued to stare at her father and held his hand.

She felt that after Juan's death, her father had changed. Orella thinks that her father is getting weaker if it has anything to do with her.

"Did they threaten you?" Orella asked her father.

"Word spread that Dante had attacked you and Juan that night. I went to see the head of the Ludovic family. But I haven't gotten all the evidence that Dante did it," her father replied.

Orella listened to everything her father explained. She also listened to her father, who kept asking her not to enter Ludovic's family.

"Be honest with me, you actually recognized that it was Dante Laurenzo Ludovic. So you decided to marry him," the father told his daughter as he looked at her intently.

"I'm ...."

Before Orella could finish her sentence, someone knocked on the door. Either she or her father ignored the person, but the person asked permission to enter.

"Come in!" the father commanded the man behind the door.

The door to the room opened to reveal a man who was none other than her father's right-hand man. The man whispered something to her father, and he left without saying a word.

"Dad," Orella called, and that stopped her father in his tracks.

"The party will start soon. You wait here because someone will take you to the garden," the father replied, and then he walked back out of his daughter's room.

It wasn't long before two women approached her. They were smiling at her, but she could clearly see that they were both worried about her.

"Don't put on a sad face. Today is my wedding," Orella told the two women, none other than Olivia and Silvia.

"Orella think again! I don't want you to marry a cruel man like him!" continued Silvia.

"Yes. I agree with what Silvia said. Do you know there are so many enemies who want her dead. If you marry him maybe his enemies will make you a target. You might also be ...."

"I won't die until I've punished the person who killed Juan. Don't you also want to see the person who killed Juan die?" Orella interrupted, looking at Olivia.

Orella knew exactly how Olivia felt about Juan. Perhaps to this day, the woman in front of her cannot forget her love and affection for Juan.

She saw a woman in an all-black suit by the door. Orella knew that it was time for her to marry the man who had something to do with Juan's death. Even though, until this very moment, she hadn't said who the man was that night.

'Juan, I'll make sure that man dies in agony. Give me the strength to complete my revenge mission,' Orella said to herself as she walked out of the room.

Orella silently listened to everything Silvia had to say about Eliana. Occasionally, she shook her head at Eliana's behaviour, which she found annoying but ridiculous. However, she did not think that Eliana could also be mean to people she disliked. That woman could even harm her to the point of losing her life. "Does Dante know everything that woman does? If he knew, would Dante still want to be around her?" she asked herself. "How? Was my information useful to you?" Silvia asked Orella. "Of course, it was useful. It can be used as a weapon to strike back," replied Orella as she got up and walked into her room. "I'll prepare dinner," Diana continued. "Call me when it's ready," replied Orella, then she went into her room. Orella looked around her room. It had been so long since she had been home in the forest. She was also reminded of some of her memories of the first time she entered the underground world. She threw her body on the bed and looked at the ceiling of her room. O

"Explain it to me!" Orella ordered the woman who had just entered the room.Orella listened to the woman's explanation while waiting for Diana, who had started moving her fingers on the keyboard. She also saw Silvia walking over to the cabinet containing the weapons."I've found her," Diana said to Orella and the others.

Orella listened again to Silvia on the other end of the phone. Then she walked over to the table, picked up a glass of water, and drank it. “All right. I'll be waiting for you,” Orella said to Silvia, and then she hung up the phone. She put her cell phone on the table and walked to the balcony. She stared at everything in front of her. Orella remembered what Silvia and Alex had said. However, she also remembers the incident when Lucas took Diana from her office. “Why did it have to be like this?” Orella muttered, then sighed. Orella went back into her room and saw Dante, who had just entered. She stood and looked at the man now in front of her. “I thought you would stay with her,“ Orella told Dante. “Are you jealous?” Dante replied with a question to Orella. “No. I just ....” Before Orella could continue her sentence, Dante pulled Orella into his arms. The man said nothing and just hugged her. Orella was transfixed. She was about to return her husband's embrace. However, she

"Orella, I did everything you told me to do," Diana said to Orella, sitting on her work chair. "Good. Now we have to wait," Orella continued. Orella leaned her body against the back of the chair. She looked at Diana, who was sitting not too far away. The woman always sat in front of her computer screen. Two months had passed since Silvia's departure, but she could still contact and talk to her. Orella was a little relieved that Hugo was dead so that no other enemies would recognize her as the leader of Red Eagle—except for Dante and his two friends. "Pick up the phone!" Orella ordered Diana because Diana's cell phone had been ringing and she hadn't picked up. "It's not important," Diana replied. Orella shook her head. She suspected Diana was upset with the person who had called her earlier. 'Who is the person who has upset her like this?' Orella asked herself as she continued to look at Diana. Not long after, someone opened the door to the room. Orella was slightly surprised b

Orella looked at her husband. She couldn't understand why he would say such a thing, but she also remembered some of the things Leticia had said. "I'll always be with you," Orella said as she stared at her husband. She was still thinking about the name of the woman Leticia had mentioned. She wondered if that woman could be who had been in Dante's heart before he met her. However, it could also be that she was Dante's enemy who wanted to destroy him. "Explain to me! Why are you saying things like that to me? Do you think I'm going to leave you?" Orella asked her husband several questions. Orella continued to stare at Dante, who was also staring at her. The man did not open his mouth, as if he didn't want or wasn't ready to explain everything to her. She sighed and said, "I'll wait until you're ready." After saying that, Orella got up and walked towards the door. She opened it and saw Diana with an unfortunate face before her. "What's wrong?" Orella asked the woman in front of he

"Just say it, and don't beat around the bush!" Orella said back to Leticia. "Come with me!" said Leticia as she walked. Even though she didn't know where she was going, Orella followed Leticia from behind until she finally arrived at a small park inside the headquarters. Orella didn't think a small park would be inside a base like this. I don't know what Dante had in mind to make that small garden here. "I'll tell you everything," Leticia told Orella as she sat under a tree in the small garden. Orella sat beside Lecita without suspecting her in the least. She didn't say much or ask questions of the woman beside her. Leticia began to tell her everything. She explained that she didn't love Dante at all. She had been bothering Orella for the past few days to help Dante understand everything. "What about the incident at the gazebo that night?" Orella asked Leticia. Orella still couldn't believe what the woman beside her was saying. She glanced to the side because Leticia didn't an
