Luciano POV

I arrived at the police station an hour before the appointed time.

I preferred it that way.

Being early meant I had control of the situation. It gave me time to breathe, observe, and understand the battlefield before stepping into it.

Because this was a battlefield.

Just that it was without guns.

I sat quietly in the waiting area, one leg crossed over the other, my posture relaxed enough to make it look like I had come for a casual meeting rather than a police interrogation.

  • The Mafia's Forbidden Heiress    Flames of Doubt

Luciano POV Sleep refused to come. I lay on my back staring at the ceiling, the image of Aria locked in that room burning behind my eyes. Every time I closed them, I saw her tears, her desperate pleas, and the way she had touched my face like she truly cared. The evidence was real. I had seen the messages, the transfers, the photos. Yet something inside me kept fighting against it. I wanted to believe her. I wanted her to be innocent because the thought of her betraying me hurt more than any bullet ever could. I sat up and ran my hands roughly through my hair. My chest felt tight, anger and doubt twisted together until I could no longer stay still. I got out of bed, grabbed a bottle of rum from the cabinet, and poured myself a large glass. The liquid burned down my throat. I lit a cigarette and took a deep drag, letting the smoke fill my lungs. Still, her face would not leave me. “Damn you, Aria,” I muttered. I could not stay in this house tonight. Not with her locked away j

  • The Mafia's Forbidden Heiress    Poisoned Trust

Luciano POV I stormed through the mansion halls with fury burning in my chest. The evidence Ricardo had shown me played over and over in my mind. In it were messages, bank transfers, secret meetings between Aria and Vega’s men. It all pointed to one thing. She had betrayed me. The woman I had started to trust, the one who made me question everything, was working with my enemy.I don’t know why Ricardo forwarded this to me but one thing mattered; Aria was a traitor too. Ricardo knew this will rile me up, he knew it will make me lose focus. He played his game well and now it is affecting me like he had schemed. But I won’t let the anger linger for long. I need to crush Ricardo as soon as possible but I need to even crush a bigger betrayer that struck deep in my heart.Aria.My blood boiled. How could she?I kicked open the door to the small sitting room where she waited. Aria jumped at the sound and turned to face me. Her eyes widened when she saw the rage on my face.“Luciano, what h

  • The Mafia's Forbidden Heiress    Cracks in the Throne

Aria POV Mrs. Rosa handed me a warm cup with a gentle smile. “Take this drink, my specially made peppermint tea. It will help you relax after everything you have been through.”I beamed with smiles and took the cup from her hands. I closed my eyes and breathed in the sweet mint scent that rose from the steam. It felt fresh and soothing.“Refreshing, Rosa. I love it,” I said before taking a slow sip. The warmth spread through my chest. “I haven’t even properly thanked you for always treating me like your own daughter.”“It is nothing, child,” she replied softly. “I feel indebted to your father. He would have done more for me if he was still here.”I tried to wave away the emotions that rose at the thought of my father, but my voice cracked a little. “Yes, he would have done more. I miss him so much it hurts some days.”Mrs. Rosa nodded with understanding eyes. “How is Valerie doing these days?”“She is conversing now. She said a few words to me three days ago,” I answered. “Oh wow, I

  • The Mafia's Forbidden Heiress    Midnight Raid

Luciano POV Rage burned through my veins like wildfire as my car screeched to a stop in front of my uncle’s sprawling mansion. Without waiting for any guard to announce me, I slammed the door and stormed inside. My voice echoed off the high walls like thunder.“Ricardo!” I shouted, the sound bouncing through the grand halls. “Where the hell are you, you treacherous bastard?”A maid carrying a tray froze in the hallway. Her face turned pale and she trembled so hard the glasses rattled.“Where is your boss?” I demanded, stepping closer. She pointed a shaky finger toward the stairs. “In his office, sir. But he said he is busy and nobody must disturb him.”I ignored her warning and started up the steps, boots heavy on the marble. The maid hurried after me, her voice small and scared.“Boss says nobody must stop him. Please, Don Luciano…”“Move!” I snarled. She jumped back like a frightened kitten and disappeared down the corridor.I reached the office door and without knocking, I placed

  • The Mafia's Forbidden Heiress    The Doctor is also an Accomplice

Aria POVA sharp sneeze ripped through my body and forced my eyes open. The hospital lights above me were too bright, as I managed to steady my eyes towards objects in the room .My throat burned and my stomach still twisted with leftover pain. I had survived the poison, but barely. The nurse sitting beside my bed jumped to her feet when she heard me sneeze.“Oh, you are awake!” she said quickly. “Let me inform Don right away.”She hurried out before I could speak a single word. After she left, I tried to sit up, but my body felt weak and heavy so I lay back. Minutes later she returned, heels clicking against the tiled floor.“Don has already left the hospital,” she told me gently. “But Dr. Torres is on his way, darling.”Bastard. I muttered under my breath, “He couldn’t even wait for me to wake up before running back to that bitch.” Fresh anger bubbled inside my chest and made my hands shake but I tried to control it so the Nurse wouldn’t suspect anything. The door opened smoothly,

  • The Mafia's Forbidden Heiress    Family Dinner

LucianoI sat at the head of the long dining table, cold and silent. The food in front of me had gone cold and untouched. I had waited all evening for Aria to speak the truth about the red book and her real identity, but she said nothing. Her silence felt like a knife twisting in my chest. Then dinner came and I did something to spite Aria. Earlier, I had told everyone that we would be having an intimate family dinner and everyone had to be present, but I didn’t tell anyone that someone not part of the family was joining us. Somebody she despised to see.I had invited Elena tonight on purpose, to remind Aria that she was not the only woman in my world. Dinner came, Isabella sat on my right, looking elegant as always. Elena sat on my left, wearing a tight red dress that left little to the imagination. Aria sat further down the table, her eyes fixed on her plate, trying hard to reveal no emotions. The tension in the room was thick enough to cut with a knife.I finally spoke, my voic
