Chapter three: "Home"

Both Jason and Lee refused to accept the news that Mama was dead, it seems like Jason was more affected that he stood up immediately and leave. I don't know what has gotten into him but Lee apologizes to me on his behalf before running out to run after him.

I heard a buzz from my phone and I checked that it was a notification from my so-called Aunt Polly, she told me that she has the right to inherit the 1000-acre land as she was the next eldest next to my Dad and that she must be the one who must inherit it since I'm only the granddaughter.

She said I was supposed to be the last person to inherit the land 

There were even small threats in her messages that she was gonna call a lawyer about inheritance rights but I don't have the heart to tell her that I inherited the land based on Mama's will

She's only going to embarrass herself real bad in front of many people

I did meet her once and I was happy I didn't meet her ever again because of her hostile attitude towards me, she would constantly mock me of my upbringing because of my worthless mother who abandoned and made fun of my father who is her older brother in her family.

Her constant messages only enrage me so I shut off my phone, I think Alex should know about Mama's passing. I stood up and got ready to head to the 1000-acre land that I never get to enter

Mama would always tell me to never enter the gates that guarded the 1000-acre land, I was always curious so I did try to sneak in but every time I would always get caught by Alex, his friends, or even my grandmother. The outcome would always be a 1-hour scolding and being grounded for 3 days, it baffles me how much I got in trouble for just trying to enter the land that is rightfully in my family's name.

Just what on earth is hiding behind those tall walls that my Grandmother tries to hide with Alex?

I took a taxi to get to the land that was 1 km away from my home, I paid for my fee then stepped out to feel a strong wind hit me and it felt refreshing. Unlike living in the city the suburbs are a different experience, the place was very isolated since this is private property and no one has the right to build a building if it touched the tall walls.

The walls are 7 feet high and it is surrounded by a long green field, the nearest house was a mile away from here so if I ever get murdered here nobody will hear my screams

Haha I'm scaring myself so bad right now, Alex wouldn't murder me...unless if he wanted to own the 1000-acre land that is

Why does it feel like ever since I inherited the land I get paranoid of people? owning such a big land that is worth trillions could cost me my life. 

I shrug at myself

Who cares? I'm rich now anyways since Alex always pay his 8 million rent on time and I have my successful coffee shop in the downtown area

With so much money I can just hire a bodyguard and built a metal fort to protect myself from people who will threaten me. I walked straight to the metal gates that was guarded by two men in suits and shades

What is this? The Matrix? Men in Black?

It's not that cold today and even a small walk made me build up some sweat, can't imagine wearing a suit while standing under the hot sun for a long time would feel like.

They look alert when I try to approach the gate so they blocked off my path by using their body to create a wall "Name your reason to enter" the guy demanded 

My reason to enter?!

I cleared my throat a bit "I'm the new owner of the land and one of the people who is paying here is Alex, could you please relay my message that I needed to talk to him?" I asked the guy nicely

"Nice try but the owner of this land is an old lady, not a young girl, please leave the area" 

"What!?" I said loudly, my hands went to my waist and I glared at the two

I was trying to be nice but they were getting on my nerves

"I need to tell Alex something why won't you guys let me in?!" I asked them because at this point I'm getting pissed off

The other guy turned to his guard partner "Looks like we need to use force" they nodded each other before trying to grab my arm, I was not gonna be pushed around easily since I'm an adult now. I pulled the guy's hair that was the first to try and grab my arm and I kicked the other guy's side with my foot.

The first guy tried to grab my hands but I yanked it hard away from him that in the process it pulled him to fall over his colleague, I kept kicking them where the sun don't shine and their sides even the sides of their heads in hopes it can knock them out.

While I was kicking them I saw a small red light at the corner of my eye and there I see a CCTV camera. I walked up to it "Alexander Ronaldo! I swear to God if you don't open this goddamn gate I'll kick you out!"

I heard a sound before the gates were opened "FINALLY!" I yelled, before I enter I glared at the two guards who were on the ground in pain because their baby maker might be broken.

My jaw dropped once the gate was wide open because I saw "A MANSION!? WHAT THE FUCK!??" I yelled at the top of my lungs, this was my first time entering the land I was forbidden to enter and the first thing I see is a long road that leads up to an enormous mansion

Why the hell is there a mansion on my land?

Not only it was a mansion but it belongs to Alex

I crossed my arms in disbelief, we live in the city in a small house, and yet one of the people who rent out our land lives in a mansion, What kind of sick reality is this?!

"This is ridiculous" I said to myself as I walked on the long road that leads to the mansion, in the far distance I saw many men formed a line at the entrance of the mansion

HUH?

They were like the two men at the entrance gate, who on earth are these people? nevermind that, I was too pissed at Alex to even mind that. When I finally arrived I was heaving so much from how long the walk was and it's because the mansion was on top of a hill "What the hell is this place?" I asked one of the men who were in a straight line that leads up to the entrance, they stood up straight almost like soldiers.

"It's Mr. Rolando's home" he politely answered me

I nodded "Yeah this is his home alright but WHERE THE FUCK IS THE OWNER!?" I yelled, I was so tired of this that I snapped and the men flinched when I yelled

The two grand doors of the mansion entrance opened and it revealed Alex running out to me immediately "Hey Bea" He greeted me, I smacked the back of his head and the men who were in the line were shocked that they ran to check on Alex but he stopped them before they could even get close.

"Don't make me experience that again or I swear on Mama in heaven I will kick your ass out" I told him, he gave me a nervous chuckle then a sheepish grin right after
