I did not know what had gotten into James this afternoon, but I wasn't ready to entertain such direct confrontation from him. What had entered him, I do not know—but I would not tolerate it.

"You are treading a very thin line, James. I suggest that you stop with your approach and do as I told you to—leave my office," I warned, but my words didn't seem to fuel any fear. He just stood there, unfazed.

"My behavior is disrespectful. I'm sorry boss, I truly am. But this is an issue I have come to realize that I have to address. If not, it's not going to work out for our benefit. It is only going to make our enemies succeed and our plans fall through," James said, and I kept my gaze, radiating my anger hot at him.

"This woman—she's becoming your weakness, and it has become visibly evident to me. That is why I’ve decided to speak up against it before it is too late," James said.

"Say what you have in mind, James. Say it," I dared, and he gulped and replied.
