Chapter 16

The music was blasting loud throughout the club as she stepped out of her office. Looking down at the dance floor, she saw people walking around and with the strobe lights on, she couldn’t tell who was who.

Making her way down the steps with Mario at her heels and her assistant manager. Mario’s assistant walked up to them and said, “All our VIP guests have arrived on expected arrival, including your husband. We have twenty minutes until opening.”

Daphnée accepted the glass of champagne from Mario, who took it from a passing server and asked, “Is Emilia here too?”

“No, we have her waiting outside, but I think Mr Bardi has someone fetching her right now,” he answered.

Mario looked at Daphnée who was looking toward the VIP area and asked, “What are your plans, Queen?”

“I am the owner here. If they want to see me, they need to come find me,” she said and made her way back up the steps and went to the break room that overlooked the club.
