CHAPTER 55

Late at night I am sitting in the gazebo watching the dark skies and breathing the cold wind of September. The wind brushing on the trees that turn into orange as autumn season enters. I yawned as I felt my eyes are getting heavier so I decided to go inside.

“Ma’am, there’s a parcel for you,” one of our security guards reached to me when I was inside the house. Giovanni is reading some documents with his eyeglasses. Freya is walking to the stairs with Giovanna in her arms. “What is that?” Giovanni asked.

“I don’t know,” I answered. I sat down beside him as I opened the brown box with a bubble wrap. There are no details of the sender. “I suspect that this parcel is a threat,” I commented and Giovanni put his documents on the coffee table in front of us.

He was the one who opened the box and I winced at the sight inside of the box. “What the fuck?” he asked as he picks the white bond paper with blood splattered on it. “It’s disgusting,” I said.
