It's not what you think

"Ariadne, what are you doing?"

She brushed his lips with hers, Like she was giving her a taste of starter before the main course "I will stop if you want me to."

She leaned closer and closer to him.

But, Renee marched in. "The traffic killed me today.", She groaned.

Ariadne panicked and tightened her robe. She was so dead. She tried to get away from Leon but she slipped back into his arms.

What the fu*k?

"I... Actually..." She stammered.

"What the hell is going on here?" Renee said in disgust. She closed her eyes. Leon just stood there with folded arms.

Actually he also wanted the answer to the same question. He thought that Ariadne was upset with him. He thought that she will question him or maybe burst out at him but instead she just threw herself at him.

Yes, Leon is handsome. Girls literally die to be with him. But here we are talking about Ariadne. She is not like other girls. That's what attract him the most.

"It's not what you think, Renee. I slipped on him and the very second you walked in the room. What else could it be?"

"Yeah sure, what else could it be." Leon smirked and walked away.

~~~
It was half past twelve. Ariadne was on her bed. Sleep alluded her. How can she sleep after everything that happened today.
She went through a roller coster of emotions today.
How can she face Leon after what she did?
He must be thinking so badly of her. She has given him a reason.
She covered her face with the pillow. A lot of things were going on in her head. And sadly she had no one to talk to about it.
Her journal, she can write about it in her journal.
It wasn't on her study table.
She opened her cupboard and looked for her journal. Where did it go?
Renee came in her room earlier today to get some books. Maybe it got mixed with that.
She went to Renee's room and looked around. In Renee's closet Ariadne found an old journal. Maybe it was Renee's but it had her initial on it.
She turned a few page. It was her handwriting and not Renee's. She must have written it before she lost her memory.
Her heart screamed with joy. Finally she got something that could tell her about her past.
The weird thing was that she asked Renee a lot of times if she had anything from her past. But Renee always denied.
Why did she keep this from her?
Maybe this journal befolds some dark chapters of her life and Renee was trying to protect her. The only was to find out is to go through it.
"What are you doing here?" She heard Renee's voice behind her.
She gasped, Renee can't know about this journal. What if she takes it back from her?
She hid the jouran under her tee.
"Do you need anything?" Renee asked her.
"No.. Actually yes. You remember the black top that you wore a couple of days back?"
"The one with tiny flowers?"
"Yeah, I was wondering if I could borrow it."
"Sure why not."
Renee took out the top from her closet and gave it to Ariadne. Ariadne thanked her and left Renee's room. She was trying to avoid looking into Renee's eyes.
Otherwise she would have figured out that Ariadne was lying to her.
Phew!
Renee didn't suspected anything.
Why is she even hiding?
She was feeling like a thief. But it's not stealing if the thing is yours.
She heard a thud from downstairs.
She went to take a look. She saw that Leon was sneaking out of the house. Where was he going at this hour?
Ariadne decides to follow her.
She peeped out from the door.
A black car was parked in front of their apartment. Leon was talking to the driver. He looked angry. But Ariadne was not able to hear anything.
What shall she do now?
Something was wrong with Leon. He was definitely keeping something from them and it was time to find out. But how?
A stray dog barked at them.
This was it.
Ariadne waslked with slow steps and his behind the car.
She never thought that her life could be so adventrous. But again what she knows of her life.
Is he into drug dealing?
No, he is to cute to be a drug dealer.
"If anything happens to her I will kill all of you and you know it, now go away." Leon yelled. The man drove away.
He lit a cigarette. Ariadne just stood behind her.
"So how long have you been here?" He said.
Ariadne startled, how did he knew that she was here.
He turned to her, "How long have you been here?"
"That doesn't matters. Who are you Leon? I trusted you."
"And you thought that the best way to find your answers is to throw yourself at me. How can you be so naive?"
"What on earth do you know about me, Leon?"
"Nothing." He sighed.
Were his eyes a little bleary? Maybe he is high.
"Who are you Leon? Why were those guys after you? What have you done to them?"
He held her hand, gently "I will tell you but I need you to trust me."
"That's for me to decide." She pulled her hand back.
"I was in a gang. Actually I was their leader."
"What?" She said in disbelief. Frankly it would have been better if he was a drug dealer.
He held her arm and pulled her closer to him, "But I promise you that I have left that world behind me and I will never do anything to hurt you. That's why those guys came after me."
"That's how you got hurt?"
"Yeah, they tried to kill me. It is not as easy as I thought it would be to leave the dark world."
She didn't say anything for a while. There was an awkward silence between the two.
"Do you trust me?" He asked her.
"I don't want to but I do."
He smiled.
"It is getting late now, let's go in." She said.
