"Do you understand everything, Ariadne?"

Ariadne nodded her head after listening to her boss's instructions, she had joined this general store just a week ago.

Her boss Riya was going out on a vacation with her family and wanted Ariadne to look after the store in her place and give her the reports of each day.

She was also explaining to Ariadne were to keep the keys and then deposit the money in the bank.

"Yes, ma'am, I understand and I promise I will not give you a reason to be disappointed."

Her boss looked at her and nodded, the old lady was a good friend to Ariadne's sister. 

Her boss then said, "normally I won't trust someone with no identity or background but since you are the sister of Renee I will trust you."

Ariadne looked down and thanked her, "thank you for your generosity ma'am." she said.

Her boss left before her and it was time to close the store, Ariadne closed the store and started to walk back to her house.

She lived in a small rundown apartment building, all by herself her sister Renee would come by often to check on her and give her money and would ask her about her daily life.

Renee was the only person she was close to, as she had only her as a family and without her she would have been left alone.

As she walked and suddenly heard a small voice and then saw her favourit kitten Raven waiting for her near the entrance of the alley.

She smiled at her and took out a packet of cat food for her.

She slowly sat down before Raven and patted her head before she opened the packet of the cat food and put some on the road, she smile as she saw the cat eat and then took out her phone to take a photo and video of her,

Her phone was only filled with photos of Raven as she was the only person that made her really calm and happy in this lonely neighborhood.

This neighborhood was not very clean or high class but was not dangerous, it was a decent place to live.

She played with Raven for sometime before she she stood up to leave however before she can take another step she suddenly heard something falling in the alleyway followed by a loud manly grown.

She blinked and clenched her fist, it was dark and the roads were also empty, she wanted to run away but when she thought that someone might be in need of help she was unable to leave.

Ariadne took a deep breathe and clenched her fists and asked, "hello? is anyone there?" 

In return she heard another groan, she took out her phone and turned on the flashlight and then slowly walked inside the alleyway.

She walked ahead and gasped, her phone nearly fell out of her hand when she saw a leg and some blood stains on the floor.

Her heart started to beat rapidly and she felt shivers run down her spine. Her hand went cold and she was ready to run.

She then used her phone's flashlight to look at the person and she saw a man lying on the ground.

He seemed to be half concious, she could see how hard the man was trying to keep his eyes open and how he was clutching the wound on his abdomen.

She quickly went to her, the man had black hairs and pale skin and his forehead was covered with sweat.

He has light beard and looked in pain as his face was covered with a deep frown.

"Mister... hello, Mister." she called out as she patted his cheeks and gasped when the man suddenly grabbed her hand and looked at her with his hazy eyes.

And now that she can see his face clearly she saw that the man had blue eyes, and they were so pretty and mesmerizing. Those eyes were like ocean sucking her deep into the darkness but she was bought out of her trance when she heard the man say in his deep and husky voice, "Help."

The man seemed to be weak. Aridane looked around and was worried that whoever harmed this man must be near, and they might find him soon and try to kill him and might even come after her.

So without wasting anymore time she called a cab and waited anxiously for fifteen minutes for it to arrive.

When the cab finally arrived, she asked the driver's help to grab the man and put him into the backseat.

The man's head was on her shoulder and his entire tall and heavy body was leaning on her petite one but she was so nervous to think about any of that.

However she felt goosebumps whenever the man's breathe hit the skin of her neck.

She took out her handkerchief and wiped his face, and took a good while doing that and she noticed the clothes the man was weraing they weren't some ordianry or cheap clothes these wre branded clothes that much costed hundreds of dollars.

This man must be really rich as he was wearing such expensive clothes and even his watch was branded. Maybe it was beacuse of money that he was attacked.

Once they reached her small and rundown apartment building she paid the driver and somehpw got the man out of the car.

The man's hand was on  her shoulder and she was grabbing his waist and slowly helped him to walk towards her apartment.

It was a good thing that her apartment was on the ground floor so she didnt have to climb the stairs or else it would have been hell.

She made the man lay on her bed and took deep breathe and sat down, the man was really heavy and it was very touch to carry him inside but after she was done resting she got up and went to get a first aid box.

She opened the man's shirt and while doing that her face turned red, but she assured herself that she was just doing to help the man.

However when she saw the man's perfectly sculpted body and his abs she couldn't take her eyes off and had to look away.

She then took a deep breathe and started to examine the wound.
