Chapter 94

Hazel’s POV

Unable to sleep, I tossed and turned on my bed and groaned as I stood to do the most stupid thing ever. It’s been years and I wasn’t expecting that his number would actually go through.

The fact that I still remembered the number off hand after almost three years still baffled me. He picked up a little bit faster than I expected him to pick a strange call.

“Hello.” His husky voice came from over the phone and I closed my eyes as I let the tears drop freely.

I didn’t know how much I’d missed him until I heard his voice. His voice was a little bit resigned and grudging but still soothing as it sent cold chills down my spine.

Every ounce of me misses him and I groaned as I felt the drip between my legs before hanging up hastily.

What was I thinking, just calling him?

He wouldn’t stop calling back, making it difficult for me to go back to sleep. I had an internal battle with myself whether or not to pick the call.
