Bushbabies are creatures that look like humans, they are dwarfish and black and they are usually seen carrying Mats. These Mats are rumored to cause whoever can retrieve it from these Bushbabies wealthy, if you can collect or steal it from them, it will earn you good fortunes in life.

Dike the chief of the warriors reminded them they need to concentrate on their journey as these Bushbabies aren’t harmful as long as you don’t steal their Mats from them.

A very wealthy villager has promised in secret some of the warriors a huge sum of money should they bring to him a Mat from the Bushbabies.

As they journey through the path of these Bushbabies, suddenly, 3 of the warriors disappeared and it took a while before the rest knew that 3 of them have sneaked out in search of a Bushbaby’s Mat.

Dike spoke to the warriors to wait for him while he sets out to search for these 3, he suddenly saw them running towards him like a multitude of Bushbabies pursuing after them with their little spears, in their hands of one of the warriors called Akachi is with a Mat of a Bush-baby. They went to steal from these creatures

The entire 34 warriors were arrested by these bushbabies and tied to various trees by the Bushbabies warriors. While Dike surrendered to the Bushbabies who were after Akachi and the other 3 warriors who went with him to steal, the rest of the warriors were surrendered by the Bushbabies armies who went after them in huge numbers.

These Bushbabiesspeaks in an inaudible manner and they couldn’t understand that the 3 who stole from them were acting on their volition, that it wasn’t the mission of the entire Afugiri warriors to steal from them.

Akachi was hanged and speared to death by these bush babies because he was the one who took the Mat from one of them.

Dike was privately warned by one of the warriors about the intentions of Akachi, he was known to be greedy and an opportunist, and that he was more loyal to money than to any other thing.

Dike took the rest of the 30 warriors and continued the journey, greed has taken the life of Akachi and gotten 3 of their warriors imprisoned by these Bushbabies now the rest seems to understand how important is it for them to live itself-disciplines.
