Lyka frowned as she listened to the two women talking while they walked toward Dark’s room.

“She complains like a child,” Lyka muttered with an eye roll, almost shaking her head in annoyance as she followed behind them.

She let out a long sigh—clearly losing patience.

“Seriously? It’s only Roxane’s and my first day at work, and there are already complaints about her?” she thought, baffled and slightly pissed.

“Wow. I thought scenes like this existed only in TV dramas…” she added in her mind, rolling her eyes discreetly as she tried to hide her irritation.

A few moments later, they reached Dark’s room. They stopped quietly. Voices from inside—Roxane and Dark—were clearly audible, as if in a serious conversation.

Inside, Roxane and Dark were locked in an eye-to-eye stare—time seemed to stop. Dark spoke quickly, bluntly, without even a trace of hesitation.

“I like you.”
