Chapter 39 - Wyatt/Ford/Jimmy

Wyatt POV

I lean back on the couch and stare absent mindedly at the beer bottle in my hand, as I slowly swing it around in a circle. Am I doing the right thing? Will this really work?

Kane walks out of the kitchen and heads for the couch with his own beer in his hand. “Baby. You need to stop worrying about it. I don’t even have to look into your mind. It is written all over your face that you are worried about whether or not you are doing the right thing for Tommy.”

He sits down on the couch and turns towards me. “We have discussed this many times. Even the elders believe it is the best option. So, stop worrying.”

I sigh and glance up at him. “What happens if Tommy accidentally runs into Jimmy before Tommy is truly ready to meet Jimmy? Will everyone think we have chosen the right path, then?”

Still holding his beer, Kane slides a little closer to me and gently bumps my leg with his beer bottle. “Hey, we don’t know that those two will even bump into each other before we dee
