Chapter 53

16th October. Saturday.

Leonard couldn't sleep all through the night seeing as his wife was not by his side. It bugged him to think about what they were putting her through, or how many consciences his father have left.

The stupid, and useless guards he hired to protect her couldn't even do their jobs. His eyes on them felt like death was staring at all of them. They were scared.

"Where did you train? Aren't you supposed to be good at martial arts? How on earth did you let my wife slip away?" Leonard asked looking down on them as they knelt, his eyes filled with anger.

One of them looked up at him. "It was unexpected. They just came out of nowhere."

Leonard scoffed looking at him. "Isn't it part of your job to be always prepared for the unexpected? What kind of lame excuse..."

He heard a car ride into his compound making him sigh. "It seems your boss has arrived."
