Chapter 65

Two days later. (20th. Nov. Saturday.)

Emily couldn't stop crying as it was still unbelievable to her. It overwhelmed her completely.

Phoebe was her friend long before Alexa even came into the picture. They all did things together. Everything without nothing aside. She was always there, but now, seeing her pale dead body wrapped that disrespectfully, it couldn't stop dawning on her that Phoebe is gone. She was mercilessly murdered.

Audrey walked up to her with a sigh as she couldn't stop crying. She was given the day off, and hands off the case due to the emotions springing forth out of her.

Audrey sat on her couch. "Emily, I can tell how much it hurts to lose a dear friend, but you have to man up. You need to be okay, so we can focus on bringing her death to justice."

Emily looked at her, her eyes all red, and teary. "Tell me, how did she die? What's the autopsy result?"

"Um, you saw it yourself, her throat was slit."

"That's all. No other harm on her? No sign of struggle?"
