I scoffed as I stared at the text. So Laken finally swallowed his pride and decided to text me first? I wonder what he wanted to talk about.

“Hey, Daphne,” Phoebe stood in front of my table, a warm smile on her face.”Tell me, do you swim? I heard the academy has a magnificent pool,”

I got another notification on my phone and checked. It was from Laken.

“Yeah, I know. I swallowed my pride,”

I chuckled as I read the text.

“Your presence is starting to irritate me and I don’t like it,” I heard a voice behind me. I already knew that voice—it belonged to the bottersome twins.
