The girls gave me a knowing look, giggling as they watched Laken leave. Phoebe hit my arm playfully, her lips widening with a smile.

“Am I missing something? What was that all about?”

“What do you mean?” My cheeks were red as I feigned ignorance, tucking a loose strand of hair behind my ear.
