I got home by 5pm. I could have stayed outside longer but I didn’t tell my mom where I was going and even though a smile from Theodore would magically erase her anger, I’m not sure I could push my luck much further. She could get a hold of herself any moment and it was going to be chaotic for me. Not just because I don’t want anything tampering with my freedom. My training was also at risk. Theodore and I didn’t say much to each other after our confession. I’m glad we didn’t because I wasn’t exactly sure what I was going to say. I know I was just prolonging the inevitable and eventually, we were going to be forced to have ‘the talk’ but I was going to enjoy my time right now and live in the moment.
