Chapter 1: Ghosted

❤️ Ghosted ❤️

It was almost 9:30 pm and Samira was seen coming out from a shopping mall with some groceries in her hands. She headed towards a blue Nissan Qashqai car, opened the boot and threw her shopping bag filled with groceries in and closed the boot. And soon she drove off the premises of the shopping mall.

It's been eight years, eight good years since she ran away from Spain to hide somewhere in Australia. She has been living the life of a ghost and intends to keep it that way for a long time if possible. It's very impossible for anyone to track her down with her old name, Mr King, she is one of the best hackers, the very best, and had made sure she cleared her conversation with the person who paid her 20 million dollars, in fact she cleared any traces of Mr King. To the underworld crime Lords, Mr King is dead.

Eight years ago, she couldn't resist the charming Zinedine no matter how hard she tried to and they ended up having sex in the five star hotel he was staying in. No, she chooses to call it a one night stand because she won't be repeating it again. In their world of wolves, waiting for the moon goddess to choose a mate for you wasn't part of them, when you have come of age you choose who you want to live your life with. And unfortunately for her, the young King of Alpha's who had taken a fancy of her since they met the first time. He was a king placed on a high pedestal and she was someone just ordinary, sometimes she wondered why he had chosen her.

She turned off her car's ignition when she stopped in a small house. She had bought the house immediately when she came to Australia, almost outside the city she was residing, she loved her privacy. No light from the house was on.

Stepping down from her car, she paused and looked around her, she felt something was wrong immediately, her instincts never lies, and took a long sniff in the air. With her wolf nose she could smell blood and her eyes widened in fear, no, no, she had left him at home. She ran towards her house and when she tried to open the front door, it opened effortlessly, making her breathing stop.

Her skin lost all color, eyes unblinking, trying to process what it was showing her. Her lips parted in silent surprise.

"You're back, did you get me anything edible? I'm hungry." A voice brings her back to reality.

And she closed her lips and swallowed hard as she stared at the state her house was in.

She had run away and changed everything about her including her name so that Zinedine wouldn't be able to track her down but how wrong she was, because since the past seven years she has been living with his miniature who had always constantly reminded her of Zinedine. The night she had spent with Zinedine had resulted in her pregnancy after a month she had failed to kill him at the party. Not knowing what to do since the people who had paid her had been tracking her, she had no option than to become a ghost. Digging out a freshly new dead body at the cemetery and putting him in her Bmw with her phone she uses for contacting Mr King and setting the car on fire. Mr King was dead and gone.

She had promised herself never to cross paths with Zinedine again neither will he know he has a seven years old son from the one night stand they both had who is just as merciless as his father. He has the millennium blood running through his veins after all.

There were like four headless dead bodies in her living room. The four heads were arranged in lines, ignoring the blood littering around. She moved to her son and stopped short when she saw a fifth body under the boy's leg.

His mouth was gag and his hands were tied, so tight that it was a miracle that they weren't falling off.

"What happened here?" Samira asked.

"He and the others," he began kicking the man under his feet who groaned in pain at the impact, "Threatened to take me away from you after they forcefully let themselves in. I wasn't angry when they let themselves in without my permission but I was angry when I was threatened. I pleaded with them politely to leave, mum, very politely and they refuse to listen to me." He answered with a quiet voice.

It made her remember the day that young Zinedine had saved her, that day she saw why they were afraid of him.

Yes, Zinedine was a monster and his son took after him.
