"You're leaving already, Erina?"

I immediately turned around when I heard Louie's voice. I was about to open the door, but I stopped.

"Uh... yeah, we have a lot of orders to prepare for a company event. That’s why I got ready early," I replied, and he stepped closer to me.

I instinctively stepped back and avoided his gaze. Not because I was nervous, but because he might do something unexpected again. Not that I was expecting a kiss from him—he might do something more than that.

I know I sound assuming, but I’m just being careful.

"I haven’t cooked your breakfast yet. I thought your shift starts at 8 AM, so—"

"I-It’s fine, I’ll just eat at the shop," I cut him off and gave a small smile. "Umm, I’ll go ahead. Just cook something for yourself. Take care," I added and quickly turned my back on him. But just as I was about to open the door, I suddenly remembered something.

"You take care of the apartment. I washed the curtains last night, so I hope you can be the one to rinse them," I said
