Chapter 21

“You have to be mistaken,” I said after I regained my composure.

“I’m sorry detective but I’m not. I ran the print three times. It belongs to officer James Bradley.” I still couldn’t believe it.

“Ok as soon as you can compare the prints to any that are on the evidence that came in from my mother's house. Oh, and have you found the evidence that detective Knight had your lab process for him before he was killed?” There was silence for a minute. Then confusion in the tech’s voice.

“What evidence? This is all I have here.”

“Captain White said that Knight had gotten a lead off of some evidence that your lab processed for him off of the McMahon case.”

“Oh, well that was before I started here. But I will get a hold of the lab tech that was working then and have him call you.”

“Great thank you. Let me know as soon as you compare the prints.”
