The words echoed through the ruins like a wound torn open too late to heal.

Adrian stared at me in silence.

Blood running down his face.

Dust covering his clothes.

But none of that mattered.

Because for the first time since this began—

I saw it clearly.

He had done this to me.

Not the bond.

Not fate.

Him.

My chest tightened painfully.
