Chapter Nineteen

“You pack quite a punch.” I looked up from my position on the mat, my vision was partially obscured by the sun in my eyes and all I saw was the silhouette of a bulky man. 

Clearing my throat, I abandoned my attempt to roll up the combat mat and stood up, dusting off the nonexistent dust. 

“Thank you.” I acknowledged and finally got a good look at the man, his chocolate skin stretched over his wide shoulders and my eye involuntarily followed the path of the tattoos littering his arms.

The clearing of his throat snapped me from my inspection and my eyes flew to his, where almost black orbs stared at me with an eyebrow raised.

Aha so Jasper is the phoenix, but again we skipped her initial meet up with Marcel. I am not a fan of the constant going back in time.
