Chapter Fifty-Six
AurielleWoot another one up! So this one is done in Cadmus and Malik's POV. I originally wasn't going to do a Malik one but I wanted to give you guys more of a feel for him and to show a bit more of Cadmus's true colours. As always I would love to hear some feedback from you guys. It really helps with my drive. There are maybe 1 or 2 chapters left before the third book is finished!

Blaze What. The. Fuck. This had to be some sort of sick fucking joke. How was it even possible? Why would he even do something like this? What was he after? I sat at the table and panicked, my heart racing and my blood cold in my veins. I swallowed, my mouth suddenly dry and sore, the acrid taste of fear rising like bile at the back of my throat. Through our mate bond, Kane could feel my panic and I could feel him getting closer. After informing the three of them what I found out it was a flurry of activity while Magnus informed his other brothers and Kane kept me close, taking me around the pack and showing me around to the offices, the library, the pack hospital and the school. I woke the next day feeling overheated, confined and in desperate need of the bathroom. I rolled over and stifled a laugh as I saw Magnus deeply asleep, his hair all over and his arms and legs around me tightly. I wiggled out of his grip slowly and once free I tiptoed into the bathroom and quickly did my business. I left the bathroom and went into the closet, pulling on a hoodie and a pair of tights. When I woke up I knew once again that I was dreaming. The snow was thick, up to my hips this time and the wind raged, the howling of it loud in my ears as I tried to orient myself. It was so cold I couldn’t feel my toes, nor could I really move in the snow. I tried to call my dragon or my wolf forward and once again I could feel neither. I was getting real sick of these magical dreams. I wrapped my arms around myself for some semblance of warmth and trudged through the snow, grunting at the aching cold I was feeling from the waist down. This time around the snow was much worse. I had fallen asleep in only a sports bra and panties. I was cold beyond belief and not being able to reach out to my wolf or dragon for warmth was a special kind of hell.
