The Moon Kissed Alpha

I sat at the table and panicked, my heart racing and my blood cold in my veins. I swallowed, my mouth suddenly dry and sore, the acrid taste of fear rising like bile at the back of my throat. Through our mate bond, Kane could feel my panic and I could feel him getting closer. I stood up from the table, excusing myself quickly as I left the dining room and met Kane on the stairs, wrapping my arms around him and holding on tight.

“What’s the matter, babe? I could feel your panic and fear?” He questioned in concern, pulling me away enough to see my face.

“We need to talk in your office. Magnus, could you get Brodryn to join us?” I asked softly as I turned to stare at him, biting my lip as Kane nodded and led us into his office, sitting with me on the couch.

We sat in silence while we waited for Magnus and Brodryn to join us. I didn’t want to repeat this more than necessary, but I could feel Kane’s worry through the bond, his need to comfort me strong as he runs his hand over my back and the other holds my hands in his much larger one. Moments later the door opened and Magnus and a tired Brodryn stepped into the room. I felt guilty for waking him but this was something we couldn't put off. They needed to know exactly what I discovered.

“What’s going on Darling? What’s got you so worried and scared?” Magnus asked as he sat on the coffee table to face us, Brodyn sitting beside him as he reached out and held my hand, Magnus’s hands going to my knees. I was grateful for their touch and support.

“I realized something while talking with Echo. He pointed out that I was a good Alpha, strong in my own right. But mating with Kane made me stronger. I am Alpha, a Luna and a Queen. I am in a very powerful position. As wolves you have the collective strength of your pack, I now have two packs. I’m assuming it’s the same as a dragon, that's a huge power pool which will raise my power even more. Then when I mate with each of you, I will become even stronger.” I explained, seeing the confusion on the three men's faces, not realizing the scope of what I’m trying to get at.

“That’s what he wants. He wants me to mate with Kane and increase my power given the size of his pack. He wants me to mate with the four of you, four dragons from the royal dragon line, I am also a daughter of the royal line as well as a descendant of Fenrir. That's where my pack originates and Alpha’s are only passed to original Ravenfield heirs. I have all of these ties and connections that make my potential for power near limitless. It’s what he wants. He said as much at breakfast.”

“What do you mean he said as much at breakfast?” Kane growled out, a spark of anger being felt through our bond. I sighed and stood up, pacing the length of his office while I tried to order my thoughts and get it all out without leaving anything out.

“He spoke to me, when I realized exactly what he was after, he spoke in my head and the fog increased, I could taste him, the same way I can taste all of you. And it was terrifying and so overwhelming. Enough power to make you choke on it. He said I’ll see soon enough what he has in store for me and that I’ll be more than Alpha and Queen. That we’ll rule it all as Gods.”

Only silence met my words and it was enough to pull my attention away from my pacing. I turned to see my 3 mates staring at me with very different expressions on their faces. Kane looked livid and his shoulders were shaking with the effort to keep his wolf under control. Brodryn’s dark eyes shone with a possessive and challenging light, almost like he was daring the Alpha to try and take what was his. While Magnus looked the least ruffled of them all. He looked mildly concerned and mostly curious.

“We need to inform Blaze and Cadmus of this and figure out a way to beat him, hold off on the rest of us claiming you till we figure out a solution.” Magnus said with a small sigh as he ran his hand through his hair. I shook my head and nibbled on my thumbnail before speaking.

“It won’t matter. The only way to beat him would be for me to have that much power, I’ll need to be mated to all of you and then we stand a chance. Besides, he is incredibly patient and he has no problem waiting till it’s a more opportune time for him. He is Malik, the second son of Ravenfileds first Alpha Tenebrous. He is patient and strong and we need every advantage we can get.”

“How are you not more freaked out about this Darling.” Magnus asked as he watched me closely.

“I’m plenty freaked out. I feel like I’m seconds away from crying and screaming. But that’s not going to help anything and there’s nothing I can really do to magically fix this situation so all I can do right now is prepare for his attack.” I sighed and leaned against Kane’s desk and took my hair out of the tie and ran my fingers through it, a nervous gesture I found myself doing more and more often.

“We will figure this out. Like fuck am I going to let anyone try and take my mate from me.” Kane growled out, walking over to me and wrapping his arms around me and burying his face in my neck, kissing the mate mark and he held me tight. I wrapped my arms around him and ran my hands over his back.

This was insane and I didn’t want to deal with it but I knew I couldn’t just bury my head in the sand and forget it was happening. I had to do something, we had to do something because this wasn’t going to stop. Malik was an Alpha, the strongest Alpha I had ever met. And he staked his claim on me. When an Alpha claims something, more often than not they get it. I had to fight tooth and nail to undo that claim. I belonged to no one other than myself and I’d be damned if I didn’t go down swinging.
