Why can’t I use a reward to unlock chapters?

seems like a great book, I would genuinely like to finish reading it but for some reason it's not allowing me without purchasing a subscription so unfortunately due to that I will have to leave a three-star review. good story line and a very interesting plot from what I was able to read.

also paid the subscription to finish what I thought was a complete story. bluntly ends at chapter 10. it definitely feels like there is supposed to be more. I already cancelled the subscription and will not be using this app anymore.

why can't I use points to unlock chapters

Paid the subscription fee to finish reading.. only to find out it’s not even a complete story. None of the “short stories” on this app are, even though they all say they’re completed at 10 chapters. Have any of you heard of resolving a plot? Or just… finishing the damn story at all?
