That was close.
I did not even feel my own granddaughter was just nearby.Maybe she had some aura cloaking powers. Her abilities are quite peculiar and the funny thing there is, Max does not even know. Her change is slowly happening and I fear that she will freak out unless she was properly introduced to the wolfhood and the Shepard pack.
When my husband died, Teresa was about to succeed him. In fact, it should have been earlier had she not went to hiatus. Her hiatus included giving birth alone and raising a daughter all by herself. Betty arrived from the council meeting around three in the afternoon. Both Teresa and Max are not yet at home. When she pulled over in the graveled garage, she was on the edge. Max’s POV Grandma is about to open that door. When that oak door opens, there will be no going back, Max. I told myself. I can bolt here. Right now and leave . Go someplace else where I could start anew. But, will that be worth it? My grandmother and my mother placed all their faith in me. They kept me safe. My father made the greatest sacrifice to keep me alive, to be able to be back here and make a difference. Bailing out seems a good idea, but in the long run?
