Jin An sat on her bed, staring at the rays of moonlight peeking into her room. She blushed thinking about the way Ao Shun caressed her neck when he stared at the birthmark. Strolling to the mirror, she tried to see the birthmark he told her she had. She didn’t even know she had one, so she was curious.Struggling to look at it, her body twisted and contorted in various positions. She untied the top of her hanfu, pulling it down exposing the soft pale skin of her shoulders, and turning her head to get a closer look. The next morning, Jin An exited her room, the sun shone brightly triggering her to shield her eyes. Lowering her hand, Ao Shun stood before her wearing a beautiful gold and red robe over a red hanfu. The Emperor realized, too late, the attempt to assassinate him; he raised his arm to protect himself. Ao Shun leapt in front of the demon, blocking the dagger with his arm. It sliced into the flesh, blood trickling down to the already red soil. One of the other dragons, cut down the assassin as the Emperor was escorted out of harms way. Zhou Shuren ran up, just as the assassin fell to the ground, a sword shoved through his chest. The Emperor was in danger because he had said it was safe and the demons were all dead. He droped to his knees before the Emperor, who is paying more attention to Ao Shun's injury. Zhou Shuren growled inwardly at being ignored. The Heavenly General, Zhou Shuren went from praise to punishment. The Emperor punished him to Purgatory for eternity. Not dead, not alive; just immortal, forever in hell. Over the centuries, he physically fought others for higher positions, sometimes even at the cost of his life. Now; he reigned as the King.

Worshippers, young and old, wandered in and out of the temple. Ao Shun sat on the steps smiling at the many people who still venerated him. He had never thought much about the humans who commemorated him, but finally being on the mortal plain, he felt appreciated. He watched Jin An, wandering through the temple. A brilliant, full moon lifted over the forest, creating shadows across the narrow road from the temple. Just a few minutes before midnight, Ri Il paced back and forth impatiently. Langshen stood just beyond the road peeing into a bush. He watched Huxian running with the child, the others behind them, stumbling as they ran. He didn’t know what was happening but the panicked look on the fox’s face worried him. Dashing towards the sedan, he took the child as it was thrust towards him. The remaining four gathered behind the wolf and turned staring down the road at the ones chasing them. Coming into view, fifteen bandits sped towards them. Some of the bandits were limping but all carried swords and wore green half-masks. She laid her hand on the shoulder of the man and knelt down beside him. “What's your name?” The family stood together, looking around at their new home.
