Gabbie POV

“How could you both give up the most important battle of your lives… for…. for a wolf-less omega! You must be insane.” Harlow raged and paced the living room in the Alpha castle.

“It wasn’t about Gabbie,” Alex said.

“Yeah,” Kade grunted.

He lay on the couch with his feet up, nursing his cracked ribs.

“Then let us in on the secret?” Leiah scoffed.

“Clearly, they were frightened of meeting me in the final and decided to give up at the last minute. Who can’t blame them?” Gareth said, reclining in a chair with a fat grin.

“You’re too cocky for your own good,” Harlow spat. “You’ll eat those words when my jaws are around your neck.”

Gareth smirked. “We’ll see about that, Precious.”

Harlow shot the rest of us dangerous glares before storming out.

“Is anyone going to spill the beans?” Leiah scowled.

Kade rubbed my thigh while I stroked his hair.

“No, secret. I saw an opportunity and I took it. I thought being Alpha King was all I wanted, but that changed.”

All eyes turned to Alex.

You should have moved?”Dad kicked the lifeless wolf off me, and Kade helped me up.“I wasn’t thinking right, Kade.”He wrapped me in his arms despite my bloody uniform.“It’s okay, it’s over,” he said soothingly.“Kade… that’s my wolf. It’s dead.”“What? How’s that possible?” He demanded.I stared at Dad. He ripped the blade from the animal’s gut and shrugged.“I detached it.”Kade stroked my hair and led me from the scene.“This isn’t over,” Harlow snapped. “The whole school’s going to know you’re a monster!”“Can I bury her with the wolf? Please?” Dad frowned.“No, she’s right, I don’t belong here.”“But you’re part wolf on your mother’s side. That should count,” Dad said.I pointed at the dead black wolf. “That wolf’s dead.”Dad grumbled and busied himself with disposing of the wolf.We got to the door, and Kade lifted me into his arms and carried me into the castle.“Do you still want to go to the omega quarters?” He asked.“I’m good.”He kicke

“Honey, we got a letter.” Mom said, clutching a red envelope in her fist for dear life.I set my bowl of oatmeal down.“Who from?”“From a school, they’re requesting your presence.”“What kind of school does that? I don’t remember writing to any schools, plus university applications are months away.”“Yes… I know.”“Something’s fishy, Mom. Throw it away.”“I can’t.” Her voice cracked. “This is their fourth letter. We have to… consider.”“Geez, who are they?”“McGregor Academy… It’s a school for shifters.”My eyes moved from the red tablecloth to the kitchen window, giving me a perfect view of the oak tree in my backyard. A shifter school? I lost all feeling in my fingers, and my cheeks heated. They shouldn’t be after me.“Honey, I think you should…” My mom Anya trailed. What was she thinking? I couldn’t go there.“Mom, I can’t shift.” I was eighteen and still hadn’t gotten my wolf. I was pretty sure by then that she wasn’t showing up.“You just haven’t done it yet.” Mom said, still c

It was too quiet. My mind kept racing, taking me to places that made my heart race. When I fell asleep, my fears followed me. I didn’t want to be here. The castle was only quiet at night until five a.m. I was being woken by footsteps stomping on the roof. What did I even wear? Uniform?Athena hadn’t left me one. I looked for the most neutral thing in my bag. I found a black skirt with pockets so I could hide my phone. The only plain shirt I had was a white-sleeved shirt that hugged my body. I tried not to get my strawberry blondish hair wet in the shower, but it did.Now I had some parts curly and other parts frizzy or straight. I didn’t even have a scrunchy to tame my hair.Black sneakers completed my look. The second I stepped out of the door, I turned into a mouse.“Oh, who’s that?”“Fresh meat?”I backed into the hall.“Hurry up now. Miss Chambers, the assembly’s next. Which you should all be at.” A surge of power filled the room. It went straight to my head I nearly stumbled back

The school was larger than I thought. Blair told me there were four sleeping quarters for each rank. The alphas were bigger, but they had the smallest group. I was surprised that Blair was so nice. She gave me a semi-tour. I liked to believe she had matured and this wasn’t a poly only for her to humiliate me later. We stopped at the door. I turned to her. It had sunk in the past couple of minutes. I was an omega. A lowly omega. I had no expectations when coming here other than being sent back for not having a wolf.“I’ll show you the Omega Quarters later.” Her brows furrowed. She looked sorry for me. I guess she knew how I felt.“Thanks.” I pushed the door into Athena’s office. She looked up from her desk. “Yes, Miss Chambers, I was just about to send someone to come get you.”I wandered over to her table and sat down.“Am I really an omega?” I asked. She sighed and turned in her chair with wheels. She opened a cabinet behind her chair and pulled out a brown top. I dipped my head. Yup

Alex had a mate? Like a real one? She was right in front of me.“I’ll be right there, Leiah,” Alex said through clenched teeth. My face must have looked as red as a tomato. Leiah slammed the door shut, making me jump. She ground her teeth, eyes focused on me. Out of fear, I couldn’t rip my eyes from her. Then I had to when it felt like a train hit my head. Alex’s hand appeared on my back, stopping me from falling.“Hey, don’t do that.” Alex stepped in front of me.Leiah laughed, but I couldn’t see how cynical it looked because Alex blocked my entire view.“You really give two shits about an omega?” Leiah spat.Alex turned to stare at me. What was with the pity in his eyes?“She’s an… oh yeah.”“It isn’t that bad,” I said, confidently, maybe too confidently.Leiah laughed, “I can assure you it isn’t a good thing. You’re an omega that’s in a shit load of trouble.”“No, she isn’t,” Alex said.“She interrupted an alpha meeting! An important one.”“We weren’t getting anywhere anyways.” Ale

Fifteen girls were sleeping in my room. It was an entirely different experience. I slept on the top bunk with Emery on the bottom. The boys slept in the same building but on the other side. A huge living room where social gatherings were held sort of divided the building. In the morning, Blair told me to be careful with my things. The omegas weren’t monitored, and thefts occurred a lot. There wasn’t even room for my stuff in the lockers. I had to settle with stuffing my things under the bed. I carried my phone in my skirt pocket that was something I could not afford to lose. I had to hold on to it for as long as I could. It was only a matter of time before it was confiscated.I sent Mom a text before I went to bed the previous night to let her know I made it through my first day okay. She hadn’t responded yet the next morning. I brushed it aside. Who knew what she had done with her phone? The morning mist covered most of the field, and I had no choice but to shower in freezing cold wa

Kade POV “What? Leave her alone? Did you not see what she did to Baxter?”I saw everything and I didn’t believe it. It was pretty impressive. Baxter rolled around on the ground like an idiot, howling and whimpering. I pinched the bridge of my nose. He was asking for it. He was a great warrior, but I had doubts about him being my beta.“I saw everything, Holden,” I said to the tall dude with jet-black hair. He was also in the running to be my beta. The little redhead omega stared at me as if I were the tallest tower she’d ever seen. Then her pretty blue-green eyes started to droop.“What are you?” She said before her body went limp, and I had to catch her before she hit the ground.“Whoa,” Holden backed up.She practically weighed nothing. I scooped her in my arms. She had this overbearing scent of coconut and cream. Did she faint because of me? That was new. Then I noticed the blood staining my shirt.“Shit, who scratched her?” Everyone remained silent. Even Baxter quieted down.“Wh

Gabbie POVThis bed felt bigger than the single bed I’d fallen asleep in the other night. I kept rolling to see how big it was. Stupid stuff that came with a disoriented mind.“Are you trying to fall off?” Alex barked. My eyes popped open. “Alex?” I bolted up and pain instantly shot through my arm. “Ouch!”“Hey, easy!” Alex shoved me back down.“What the heck happened?” I blinked up at him. “You tell me Gabriella.” I cringed. I usually got called by my full name when I did something wrong. I looked at the arm that gave me severe pain and winced. I found a long angry red cut with something that resembled mud covering it. Then the beta gallows came back to me. I swallowed. The last thing I remembered before collapsing was a giant dark-haired man with pale blue eyes. He had to be bigger than Alex which was saying a lot because my best friend was now three to five times my size. “I should cover that up.” He mumbled, he rolled off the king size bed and walked to a jointed room. It hur

Gabbie POV“Hurry up. Light the torches as soon as you set them up,” Athena demanded.“Don’t forget the moon stones. They have to be on every corner.”“Geez, I’ve never seen Athena this agitated,” Emery hissed. She and I piled water gems from the basement into baskets while the other omegas dealt with the torches and moon stones.“Everything must be perfect!” She yelled.“It’s a big night. I feel like yelling too,” I said.We gathered the last of the water gems and rushed to the ground. I hadn’t seen Kade since this morning, or Alex since yesterday. Though an Alpha female with white hair had been prowling around. There was a chance she could face Kade if they both win their battles.“I’m sorry about your date. We worked extra hard on it,” Emery said.“I can’t believe you hid it from me!”She laughed. “It was fun to do something normal for once. The Academy… hasn’t been the same. Sometimes I think Blair made the right choice.”She stared at the basket of water gems. They were oval shap

  • The Omega Best Friend    Exhume the Past

Gabbie POV“Do you have a thing for forests?” I asked. He shrugged. “Been running through the woods since I could walk.”Of course, he had. The violent wind felt like a bad omen, but despite the scent of danger in the wind, the whole truth needed to see the light and breathe again.“I know you’re a Hunter,” I blurted. He gave me a firm nod.“Now that Aiden knows things are complicated for Kade and me.”“It worked for your Mother and me,” he said.He stuck his long knife into the ground and settled on a rock.“Hunting is in our blood. That’s why it comes so naturally, you might have noticed.”I scratched the back of my head, remembering the first time I had to defend myself from a wolf here. My environment came alive. I knew what I could use against it without panicking.“I met Anya first. She hated her family for being born a human while her sister was the strongest female wolf in her whole pack.” A smile lit up his face.“Anya came to me to learn how to be a Hunter. She was a quick l

  • The Omega Best Friend    Date Crashers

Gabbie POVThe beta goons were capable of snapping my flimsy arms. If they wanted to get rid of me, they would make sure I didn’t survive. Kade filled the doorframe and dared them to come any further. The goons must have been caught in two minds because they couldn’t hurt the only heir to the Sanders pack.“Out of the way, Kaden. I warned you this would happen!” Aiden Sanders bellowed. My heart leapt into my throat. He wouldn’t hurt his son. He wanted me.Images of Gareth’s pain, when his mate was killed, flashed in my mind rapidly. The black mark appeared on his chest when she died. If Kade were hurt, a part of my soul would leave with him. He was stubborn and would provoke a fight.I needed to find a way to get out of this without us getting hurt, but the chances for me were devastatingly low.“I told you I’m not leaving her! She’s my fated mate, get that into your thick head.”Aiden fisted Kade’s shirt. “Rejection was created to get us out of the moon goddess’s messes! The Alpha of

Gabbie POVKade pulled out the chair for me and then moved to sit across from me. He had all the chairs and desks in the classroom removed, but I couldn’t get over the necklace. When did he have time to buy this?It was a big rock. I could see my face in it. Kade had good taste in jewellery. I’d treasure this forever. I brushed the cold stone and smiled. Kade’s chuckle made me snap my head up.“What?”“Am I going to get any attention tonight?”“After this? I’ll give you anything you want!”He laughed. He placed an open hand on the table and stared at me. I squeezed his hand. I had to address the elephant in the room. Could it be worse than my Dad telling me the woman I cherished as my Mom wasn’t my Mother?“What’s on your mind, baby?”“A lot, Kade.”His brows dipped. A woman in black pants and a white shirt walked in holding a notepad. She smiled at us.“Ready to order?” She asked.“Give us a minute, please,” Kade saidShe bobbed her head and turned to leave.“Want to talk about it?”

Gabbie POV“I’m sorry I ditched you. It’s his damn scent. It drives me crazy,” Leiah said.“Ivan?” I whispered.“I don’t want people to know!” She hissed.Leiah supervised the omegas decorating the Alpha’s VIP seating area for the semi-finals of the battle season in one day.“How’s he doing? That battle with Harlow was intense,” I asked, picking garbage and leaves that blew here from the forest.“He’s pissed. His family’s even madder.”Tomorrow night Kade’s family and Alex’s family will sit on this stage with the instructors and lecturers of the academy to watch this match that could leave me without either one of them. I sucked in a breath and willed myself to think positively. No one was dying.“Have you spoken to Harlow lately?” I asked. She lifted a shoulder. “No, she’s focused on winning this thing. I’m kind of scared for Gareth. He’s not serious at times.”“Leiah, she killed his mate. He’s as serious about this as it gets.”I tied a knot in my second garbage bag of the day. I wa

Forget about your mind and think about your body. Scratch that, let me worry about your body.”Kade slipped away from her strong embrace and hovered above me. He went in full force. Kade dominated me, showing me his passion and desire. I could cling to him to absorb the stress and the tension in my body.Kade vehemently sucked on my swollen clit. I stretched out my arms for anything to hold on to but there was nothing but concrete. Kade was evil. He pulled back just when I was about to cum. He threw his head back and groaned.I planted my hands on my hips and narrowed my eyes.“You’re more than a wolfless… You’re a Luna. Did you forget?”I dropped my arms. I was mated to an Alpha, which meant I would be co-ruler of the Sanders pack when Kaden is crowned Alpha. I walked back to the room. That was more intimidating than facing Harlow again.“What? You’ll make a great Luna.”I didn’t want to get into the Sanders pack, not wanting a wolfless omega for a Luna. I gave Kade a pressed smile, climbed under the covers, and hid my head. It wasn’t long until my mate came after me.“Come here, sexy.”I wiggled to get away from him.“You can’t hide from me.”“Kade!’ I laughed. “I’m still in pain!”“So
