The next day, the main conference hall was packed.

Keira sat in the front row, surrounded by the mothers from the program. They were already discussing which clinic to go to once they got the money.

"They can't give us the full eight thousand, but six thousand at least, right?"

"If all twenty-seven families go together, the independent clinic will definitely give us a group rate."

"Keira knows the director there. She can negotiate for us."
