CHAPTER 23

Just as Catherine was about to throw her wine at me, she stumbled and the wine splashed onto her own dress instead.

"You're such a jinx! Why are you even here? To steal Alpha Jazzen?" Catherine spat out, her voice filled with rage.

"I'm not here to steal anything from you. Don't get delusional," I retorted. As she attempted to approach me, Edward and Cassimir stepped in to block her way.

"You're still as ambitious as ever. What did you feed them, or are you just assuming things again?" Catherine sneered.

Suddenly, Jazzen arrived and helped Catherine, who was now sprawled on the floor.

"You have no claim over me, Lily. You're not my mate and I will never choose you," Jazzen declared.

"Well, I couldn't care less about either of you. It would be appropriate if you'd allow us to leave, Alpha," I responded. Following my statement, Edward, Cassimir, and I made our exit.

We were now in the car, my eyes practically blazing with anger due to Catherine's audacity.
