CHAPTER 02

"Get this girl to the dungeon! I will detain her for three days without food and water," Alpha Gregor commanded his subordinates.

"Alpha, but I didn't do anything wrong. I was just defending myself against that scoundrel!" I pleaded, hoping he would release me. I knelt and begged, but my pleas fell on deaf ears.

"No more explanations. Being an Omega is unfortunate. You should just pray to the moon goddess," he dismissed me, leaving me amid bystanders who found my predicament entertaining. I looked towards Jazzen, hoping he would take my side, but he appeared bored and disinterested. I despised this pack and everyone in it who discriminated against Omegas. We were werewolves too, deserving of a life and respect.

Why were they so harsh to us? A tear escaped my left eye as I felt lost. The warriors dragged me to the dungeon, where I was thrown behind bars. The place reeked, located underground. Unfortunately, I found myself being punished for merely defending myself. Rats scurried around, the floor was damp, and the whole place was filthy.

The first day of my detention passed, and the dryness in my throat became increasingly apparent. Lying there gave me the strength to endure, but the discrimination against Omegas, relegating us to the lowest position and denying us the right to live freely, was an act of cruelty.

Now, on the second day of my punishment, I heard someone's presence from above in the dungeon. The sound of stilettos echoed, and the door opened, revealing a woman entering the premises.

"So, this is the woman who's been stalking Jazzen. You again, Omega," the woman sneered, and I recognized her as Catherine.

"Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not stalking Jazzen. It was merely a coincidence that he was present during the incident," I confidently replied, trying to defend myself.

"No excuses! Boys beat her up and focus on destroying that ugly face of hers. It disgusts me," Catherine ordered.

A group of three men entered, known to be lackeys of her father. One of them pulled me out of the cell and forcefully threw me onto the dungeon floor, scraping my knees. Suppressing my tears, I endured the pain.

"Beat her! Don't let her escape without wounds, and make sure to destroy that ugly face of hers," Catherine commanded.

"You bitch! What have I done to you? Are you just jealous of my appearance that you feel threatened by me?" I shouted at Catherine. In response, she ordered the two men to tightly hold my arms.

With a loud smack, Catherine's hand struck my face, causing blood to flow from my lip. I refused to show weakness, enduring the pain inflicted by her.

"You are nothing but a torn existence in my eyes! Your mere presence as a lowly Omega irritates me," Catherine declared, gripping my shoulders tightly. She stopped speaking and checked the time.

"Well, it's time for my date with Jazzen. You can rot here," she said, walking away with excitement evident in her steps. Meanwhile, the men continued to beat me until I lost consciousness. My face was wounded, and it would take months to heal without the aid of my wolf.

They eventually returned me to my cell, leaving my body battered from the physical brutality they had inflicted upon me. It was a miracle that, as an Omega, I could heal myself in weeks, but the injuries I sustained would take months to heal.

"Ouch! I'm in severe pain. You bitch will pay for this!" I shouted in frustration. Being weak was a significant challenge in the werewolf race. But for now, my eyes grew heavy, and my body longed for rest. I curled up into a ball and decided to sleep.

Today is the third day of my punishment. The guards will soon come to escort me out of here and deliver me to my adoptive parents. The dried blood on my body serves as a visible reminder of the torment I have endured. I must look so pathetic, but what can I do? I have no authority to question or punish them. If I were to challenge them, I would be cast out of the pack and labeled as a rogue wolf.

Click clack... Click clack... The sound of the guards' footsteps reverberates through the air, making me feel uneasy as I overhear them talking and laughing about omegas.

"Omegas are nothing more than slaves to be exploited," one of the guards remarks, his height considerably shorter than the others.

"Hahaha, you're absolutely right. This bitch will finally be released from this filthy place. I hope our alpha punishes this weak girl," another guard with unkempt hair adds.

"I'll unlock this cell, but you better behave," the shorter guard warns. He unlocks the cell and opens the door, forcefully grabbing my hand. I flinch, but I endure the mistreatment.

"I can walk now. Please release your hand," I say timidly, grabbing my shoulder and walking slowly.

"What an ungrateful bitch you are!" the guard with unkempt hair sneers. Walking outside and seeing the sunlight after three days feels surreal.

"You should clean yourself, don't you think?" the three guards say in unison before leaving, heading towards the alpha's office.

"Life is full of misery, and I am living proof of that," I reflect sadly. My dear parents must be worried sick about me. I walk slowly towards the public bathroom designated for our kind. It is poorly constructed, made of wood, but thankfully it is not dirty. As I begin to clean myself, I can't help but notice the slight discomfort as I scratch my wounds. Once finished, I grab a towel that is hanging nearby.

"Lily, I am sorry that we cannot help you," my mom says, tears streaming down her face as she holds my hands, looking at me with pity.

"We are just their slave's daughter. We cannot interfere with them," my father kneels beside us, visibly holding back his tears. The house feels gloomy, but it is clean.

"Lily, the alpha informed us that you cannot go to school. He does not permit you to study now," Enna, my mother, says through her tears.

"But Mother, I haven't done anything wrong to deserve such severe punishment. Why are they doing this to us? All we want is to live freely," I say, hugging my mom tightly as I sob. Suddenly, a surge of heat rises in my heart, causing a sharp pain.

After finishing their meal, the queen accompanied me to my new room. It was a spacious room, painted in pink, with a queen-size bed as my resting place."This will be your room from now on, my child.""Thank you, Queen Mother. I am truly grateful that you accepted me, even though I am not as talented as my siblings," I expressed my gratitude."Oh, my dear child, you should not worry about that. We are incredibly thankful that you are back with us," the queen said, holding my hands and guiding me to the queen-size bed."Please lie down for a while, my dear child. I know you must be tired after receiving so much information," the queen said, gently stroking my hair."Queen Mother, I have something to ask you. When you have two loved ones, do you have to choose?" I asked as she continued to caress my hair."It is up to you, my dear child, whether you choose or not. But I hope that whatever decision you make, you won't regret it in the end," she replied."But, Queen Mother, what should I

We arrived at their destination. The two individuals wearing crowns displayed a mix of happiness and sadness on their faces. They suddenly embraced me, leaving me standing there in a daze."My beloved child, it's wonderful to have you back with us. We have missed you deeply since you were a child," said the queen, holding me tightly."My dear child, I am overjoyed to see you again. You have grown so much," said the king, also embracing me. The three of us stood there, locked in a loving embrace, radiating happiness.Suddenly, someone spoke out."Queen Mother and King Father, who is she, and why are you both crying upon her arrival?" asked the woman standing at the side, her gaze fixed on them as they embraced."Daphne, she is your sister. She is the child we lost before we adopted you," replied the queen to her.I could see the irritation on Daphne's face, but she quickly changed her expression to something more appropriate."Sister, is that you? I missed you. I thought we would never

"What should we do now? There is a rogue wolf fast approaching from behind, and now there are also five wolves in front," I exclaimed, feeling a surge of panic.Without hesitation, we prepared ourselves to defend against the impending attack. We stood firm, ready to fight even against the odds. The wolves leaped towards us, but to my surprise, the five wolves suddenly diverted their attention and attacked the rogue wolf that had been lurking behind us, together with Fluffy. They fiercely bit and clawed at the rogue wolf until it weakened and reverted to its human form. The person had dark skin and scars on their face, appearing disheveled and naked. I averted my gaze, focusing on their face to avoid any further embarrassment.Just then, a man who had just arrived spoke up, "What's happening here?" I opened my eyes and noticed that they were all now dressed.Quickly, I spoke up to defend myself, "I had no intention of causing harm. If it's alright, I'll leave now." I began to walk away,

As Sofie eyed me from head to toe, she acknowledged me as Edward's beloved and greeted me with a polite yet scrutinizing tone. In response, I introduced myself confidently, stating that I am Edward's mate and also have another mate, Casimir.Sofie, seemingly unfazed by the revelation of multiple mates, informed us about an upcoming event where all vampires were invited. She emphasized the importance of looking good and being presentable. I glanced at Edward, seeking his guidance.Edward, however, intervened and informed Sofie that she needed to return for a meeting with her father in the council. Sofie bid her farewells, mentioning an emergency that required her immediate attention. With Sofie's departure, Edward turned his attention back to me, urging me to choose a gown for the event. He directed me to a designer, and I instinctively reached out to hold Cassimir's hand as we made our way back together. The feeling of holding both of their hands brought me a sense of comfort and reas

As I slowly regained consciousness, my mind still clouded with the remnants of a vivid dream, I found myself immersed in a state of awe and contemplation. The dream had brought me face to face with a majestic white wolf, its piercing gaze and enigmatic message leaving an indelible mark on my thoughts. However, the tranquility of the moment was abruptly shattered by a peculiar sensation—a tingling awareness that someone was watching me, their gentle touch caressing my hair. With a mixture of curiosity and trepidation, I reluctantly opened my eyes, only to be greeted by the sight of two familiar faces staring back at me."Are you okay, my love?" Edward's voice trembled with genuine concern as he leaned closer. "We were all deeply worried when we discovered you lying on the floor."Cassimir, standing steadfastly by Edward's side, spoke softly, his voice carrying a mix of remorse and devotion. "Lily, I am truly sorry for burdening you with stress. Your presence brings me immense comfort,

Just as Catherine was about to throw her wine at me, she stumbled and the wine splashed onto her own dress instead."You're such a jinx! Why are you even here? To steal Alpha Jazzen?" Catherine spat out, her voice filled with rage."I'm not here to steal anything from you. Don't get delusional," I retorted. As she attempted to approach me, Edward and Cassimir stepped in to block her way."You're still as ambitious as ever. What did you feed them, or are you just assuming things again?" Catherine sneered.Suddenly, Jazzen arrived and helped Catherine, who was now sprawled on the floor."You have no claim over me, Lily. You're not my mate and I will never choose you," Jazzen declared."Well, I couldn't care less about either of you. It would be appropriate if you'd allow us to leave, Alpha," I responded. Following my statement, Edward, Cassimir, and I made our exit.We were now in the car, my eyes practically blazing with anger due to Catherine's audacity."Lily, I will protect you. I w
