LOGINHmmm… it’s well. I wonder how many chapters I’d use to write the intense foursome.😭😔 Also, Miss Glory and Eva, I hope you’re doing okay. Thank you for the honest reviews, gems and comments. I appreciate your genuine support and kindness. It means a lot to me.🥹 Let’s get back to the plot. One question: Who do you think is the masked woman?
THIRD PERSON’S MULTIPLE POV.A fresh wave of pain moved through Nyra’s face. She turned to Soren slowly. “You killed our son?”Soren looked at the floor.Since the night Tavian was born, she had never been allowed to see him. She had spent years in a cage imagining what he looked like, whether he had her eyes or his father’s build, what his laugh sounded like. She had survived everything with the belief that one day she would find out. And now she was standing free for the first time in twenty years and being told he was already gone. She moved across the room at her own pace, following her eyes until they found him. Then she crashed to her knees and pulled his head into her lap, her hands moving over his face, his hair, his hands, learning the shape of a son she had never been allowed to hold.“My child.” The cry that left her was not loud. It was the opposite of loud. It came from somewhere so deep it arrived almost silent, and that made it worse. “This cannot be happening. Not whe
THIRD PERSON’S MULTIPLE POV“Long time no see, Kaidora.” Angora said, smiling as she stepped forward.“It would have been better if you were dead.” Kaidora’s glare didn’t waver. “Every sin you’ve buried has now been uncovered. You can’t lie your way out of any of it. And what you’re seeking,” she paused, her gaze darkening, “you’ll never get it.”“Do I need to remind you what I’m capable of?” Angora asked. “Look behind you. I just ended another Most Privileged Omega of your clan.”Kaidora scoffed. “You think you ended him? No. We were prepared for you. I was specifically prepared for you.” A thin smile crossed her lips. “And you walked right into my trap.” She stepped back slightly. “You may think your face looks young from the identity you stole, but your bones are old and brittle. Don’t forget that.”Her eyes blazed and she shifted into her wolf form—a pure gold wolf she rarely allowed the world to see.“Fine,” Angora said. “If you want it the hard way, so be it.”She shifted too.T
THIRD PERSON’S MULTIPLE POV.Aurelian stood firm as he stared at the masked woman descending the stairs. The alpha kings stepped to the sides of the steps with cunning smiles on their faces. The woman reached the last step and remained there.Aurelian blinked, staring harder at her. The haze of power he had felt a few seconds earlier vanished entirely. He had his suspicions, but he hadn’t been certain it would be her. The masked woman who had initiated all of this. The masked woman who had been solely behind the alpha kings, pushing them toward more bloodshed for the power they craved.“Why are you so shocked to see me?” She questioned, her voice slow. “You were the one looking for me. And here I am, my dearest son-in-law.”“Angora?” Aurelian said, shaking his head. “Y-You? How could it be you?”“Whether you believe it or not,” Angora smiled, “it’s me.”“No. This is some kind of deception.” Aurelian argued.“There is no other Omega who could have shapeshifted to deceive you. Believe y
THIRD PERSON’S MULTIPLE POV.“Aurelian, stop.” Tavian shoved the passenger door open. “I need you to explain what’s happening. Right now.” Aurelian was already out, already moving. “The only thing you need to do is stay in the car.”“I’m not staying anywhere.” Tavian stepped out and planted himself in Aurelian’s path. “Dead bodies in the palace. The kings, the lunas, Rhydian, Astarian, all gone. And you’re acting like you’ve known exactly where to go this entire time.” His voice cracked slightly. “Tell me what’s going on.”Aurelian looked at him for a long moment. Then he looked at the Lunar Temple rising at the end of the road and back at Tavian.“Your father and the other kings are not who you believe them to be.” His voice came out low and measured. “And neither am I.” He held his gaze. “If you walk in there with me, what we have between us stands a very real chance of never being the same again. That’s why I’m asking you to stay.”“That’s not a reason to stay.” Tavian said. “That
THIRD PERSON’S MULTIPLE POV.The party continued inside the ancestral hall, music and voices bleeding through the walls, while out on the balcony, Angora stood facing the sky.The moon above her was changing. Its edges bled red, slow and certain, the way dawn arrives before anyone notices it.“It’s turning.” She whispered to herself. “Good.”“Angora.” Kael’s voice came from behind her. “What happens now?”She turned. The three alpha kings stood in a loose half-circle, each wearing a different shade of the same unease.“Everything is already in place.” She said. “Wait here. I’ll bring the Bloodstone back.”“That’s not enough of an answer.” Soren stepped forward. “We’ve been patient. I won’t be kept in the dark any longer. What exactly are you doing?”“You’re not in the dark.” Her voice stayed level. “There simply isn’t time for lengthy explanations. My last move has already been made.”“You deceived us for years.” Lucien’s voice came out low and pointed. “You wore a mask in our faces,
THIRD PERSON’S MULTIPLE POV. “Aurelian is with your son right now.” Darius said. “He won’t be alone. But you can’t help him from inside a cage.” She looked at him for a moment. Then she moved, following him. He led her back through the passage until they reached the exit door. Locked. “There’s another way.” Nyra said. “But it comes out behind the palace. Behind the cliff.” “Show me.” She led him through a narrower branch of the passage and they pushed through a low door at the end of it, emerging into cold open air. Darius looked around. A cliff edge stretched ahead of them, water running far below in the dark. Something about the geography felt familiar in a way he couldn’t immediately place. “This leads to the Lunar Temple.” Nyra said quietly. “They brought me in through here. The back entrance.” A large rock detached from above where they had been standing seconds earlier and crashed to the ground between them and the door. They both went still. Then Darius looked at Nyr
