"The smoke is starting to disperse," I whisper as I stand up to look at the entire room.
"Yeah, we need to send someone outside to get an update on the battle," Gavin says as he too stands.
He folds his arms across his chest, and I shake my head no.
"No. We will wait until they come to us. We are the vulnerable ones. We have to remember that," I reply, and he sighs.
"I hate not having a wolf," Gavin mumbles, and I give him a small smile.
He returns it but then looks away from me. He moves to check on a few friends, and I scan the room again. When I spot the warriors in charge of keeping Jasmine contained, I square my shoulders and head in their direction.
