She looked the same as he remembered. She was in her uniform and her hair was packed in a low messy bun. There was also a trolley of cleaning items beside her.

The moment her eyes met with him, She turned her gaze away from him, reached for the trolley handle, then was about to push it out of the house so she could get away from his sight.

But to her surprise, he blocked the way.

She stared at him, giving him a questioning look.

"Can…. Can we talk?"

After everything he made her go through, that was the last statement Nancy was hoping to ever hear from him.
