Scarlett

I hugged myself, rocking my upper body while seated on the grey area rug, waiting for Jax. Everything in the room smelt of him, earthy and woodsy with a hint of cinnamon. It was oddly calming to my wolf as it crowded my overly sensitive sense of smell. My eyes kept on wandering to his teak wood king size bed. I resisted every urge to crawl under the black and grey comforter.

After a thorough body scrub and a nice soak in his tab, I was feeling quite relaxed. I didn't know how much time I had spent in the bathroom because my skin felt raw. I no longer felt the stench of piss and wet dirt on my skin. Jaxon's face flashed right on my face, like a passing reminder about my current situation. I found it hard to believe that just like that I had been set free. I thought Jaxon would snap any minute and send me back to the dungeons.
