Skylar

I was at my desk when Ivana poked her head in, pulling on her blazer. “You sure you’ll be fine on your own?”

I looked up at her, trying to mask how tired I was. “Yeah, I’ll be fine. I don’t want to risk running into any reporters outside yet. Some of them are really quite good at hiding, interested in ruining other people's lives.”

My mind drifted back to when my father's company got bankrupt. It was hell dealing with those nosy reporters that didn't care to actually find out the truth; only interested in getting something to gossip about you.

Ivana crossed her arms and leaned against the doorframe, clearly not convinced. “Are you sure? It’s past six already, and you barely left your office today. Should I order take outs for you? You barely ate anything throughout today, giving me the excuse that you aren't hungry.”

“Don't worry, Ivana , I'll be fine. Besides, I didn’t get anything done this morning. I was too wired up,” I said, shrugging. “I need to focus. I just… need to wo

  • Sweet Submission: Love Me, Mr. Billionaire    Unexpected Joy

ColeThe moment Xavier left, I sat down and rubbed my hands over my face. Everything felt like a mess.I took a deep breath, trying to manage my emotions. After I felt calmer, I reached for my phone and dialed Tara's number to ask about Skylar, as I intended to do before Xavier came in. She picked up immediately.“Sir! I was just about to call you,” Tara said breathlessly, her words tumbling over one another. “Skylar… she just collapsed. She’s at the hospital.”My heart stopped.“What? What do you mean collapsed?!” I quickly shot up to my feet.“She was in the middle of a meeting, and she suddenly passed out! Please get here fast!”I didn’t even stop to think. I threw on my coat and rushed out of my office while asking Tara for the hospital address. As I rushed through the hallway, I spotted Xavier, who was standing by the hallway talking to someone. He looked confused as our eyes met.“Cole? What’s going on?” he asked as he started walking beside me, his eyes filled with concern.“It

  • Sweet Submission: Love Me, Mr. Billionaire    Official Meeting

SkylarThe moment I stepped into my office, I felt like a heavy blanket had been wrapped around me. My legs felt a little weak, and my head ached slightly. I dropped my bag on the desk, letting out a quiet sigh as I slowly sank into the chair behind it. I rubbed my forehead gently, trying to shake off the tiredness I was feeling.I didn’t understand what was happening to me. Was it just the stress? Or was I falling sick? Either way, I couldn’t deny that something was off. I wasn’t just feeling like myself lately. Maybe everything going on in the house had taken a toll on me. The tension, the arguments, the cold silences—they had all worn me down.I closed my eyes for a second and leaned back into the chair, letting my thoughts drift. Why did everything in the house… particularly Cole, now make me so angry? Even the smallest things irritated me. I had tried to stay calm. I had tried to be understanding. But I just couldn’t anymore. There were times I wished I could just disappear for a

  • Sweet Submission: Love Me, Mr. Billionaire    Office Confrontation

ColeI sat in my office, my fingers lightly tapping the edge of the desk, my mind miles away. The morning had been slow, but my thoughts raced restlessly. I couldn’t help but think about home—how everything now seemed divided. It was as if Amelia and I were in a silent battle with Skylar and Ingrid.Nothing felt normal anymore.Skylar’s words still rang in my head. Her anger, her bitterness, the disgust in her voice—it had shaken me more than I cared to admit. And the worst part was, I didn’t know if she really meant those things she said, or if it was just stress. Maybe she was exhausted. Maybe she hadn’t slept well. Maybe work was draining her more than usual.A part of me wanted to drive down to her office, just to see her. Not for any serious talk, but just to check if she was doing okay. If she was eating right. If she wasn’t pushing herself too hard. Or maybe I could just call Tara and ask her for updates without making it obvious. But before I could make up my mind, there was a

  • Sweet Submission: Love Me, Mr. Billionaire    Nauseous Morning

SkylarI came down the stairs, still adjusting the strap of my bag over my shoulder. I had taken extra time getting ready for work this morning—not because I wanted to impress anyone, but because I needed the distraction. Something to keep me from thinking too much. But the second I stepped into the dining room, all thoughts came flooding back. There he was. Cole. Sitting at the table beside her.Amelia.He was gently placing food on her plate. His voice was soft as he urged her to eat, as if she were a weak, wounded child. Amelia sat still, her shoulders hunched and her head slightly lowered, like she was weak or scared… or probably acting to be both. Her hair was tied loosely, and she was still in her pajamas.I stopped in my tracks. The image hit me like a punch to the chest. The memory of last night flashed in my mind—the moment Cole had carried her into the house. His arms around her. Her head against his chest.I had been waiting for him. Sitting on the couch for hours, going ov

  • Sweet Submission: Love Me, Mr. Billionaire    Aftermath

ColeMy heart dropped the second I turned around. There she was.Amelia.She stood frozen, arms slack by her side, eyes wide with horror. A gun lay on the ground in front of her, still hot from the shot she had just fired. Her hands trembled violently. For a moment, everything else disappeared—the trees, Xavier’s shouts, the bruised bodies on the ground. All I saw was her.Pale. Shaking. Broken. She had just killed two men.I rushed toward her, my eyes filled with surprise. Her body swayed like she could collapse any moment.“What happened, Amelia? Why did you kill them?” I asked as soon as I got to her side.“Are they dead? Oh my God,” she sobbed, stumbling into my arms. “I killed them. I just... I killed them!”Her voice cracked. She broke into tears, loud, aching sobs that pierced the silence of the woods. I wrapped my arms around her, holding her tightly as her whole body shook against me.“Hey, hey... shhh... it’s okay,” I whispered, brushing her hair away from her tear-streaked

  • Sweet Submission: Love Me, Mr. Billionaire    Transaction Gone Wrong

ColeThe air was heavy with silence as I stood beside Xavier, both of us waiting with our eyes scanning the shadowy forest ahead. He held the suitcase tightly—a black, solid case filled with $50 million in cash. The amount felt ridiculous for a man's greed, but Amelia's life was worth more than every dollar in that case.We had arrived at the transaction ground not long ago. It was deep in the outskirts, surrounded by trees that stretched far beyond the eye could see. The kidnapper’s instructions had been clear—I was to come alone, no guards. I had argued to follow through. But Xavier refused."You think I'm going to let you walk into a lion's den with no protection? Think again, Cole. You're not going there alone," he had said earlier. We fought about it for a while. Xavier wouldn’t let me go alone, no matter how much I yelled or insisted. In the end, he agreed to one compromise: no guards, just him and me.Now, here we were. The air reeked of damp earth and moss. Somewhere in the di
