Chapter 62: Two-Edged Spark

Every pair spread out in the woods to give themselves privacy for the training. Oscar just remained at the square barracks to train those members who were under him while the others were guarding the territory for the meantime. The rest of the pack who specialized in aiding the household were either helping with the ceremony or were in the kitchen to prepare the foods for later.

Sara was bringing me into the woods just a few meters away. I still could hear my friends and Val near us. We stopped at the middle of a small meadow which was enclosed by tall trees. Snow fell just this morning so the area looked like it was sprinkled with white flour. Beneath the glow of the afternoon, the brilliance of the winter brought the world to a new shine.

"Sage, before we begin, is there any chance that you'd call me your Mom," Sara suddenly blurted out when she turned around to face me.

I blinked at the question that was thrown at me unexpectedly. Then I grew speechless as my
