Chapter Thirty Four: School project

Reyna gritted her teeth together, all her happy mood out of the window the moment the door opened and she stepped her feet into the car.

“So all I said this morning, your ears did not understand any of it?” Niko asked.

“Is there a problem?” Reyna retorted.

Nikos brows was pulled together by her response as he turned his head to look at her. She was staring outside the window, and he had to admit, she was so beautiful and this side of her just brought more of her beauty out.

“You we’re walking down the street, you didn’t see a cab or you couldn’t call your driver?” Niko asked again.

“I don’t have his number.” Reyna muttered.

“And why didn’t you collect it?”

“Because I didn’t remember.” She replied.

Niko opened his mouth to talk but closed it back almost immediately as a sigh escaped his lips. His hand moved to his forehead as he massaged it lightly.
