She slept soundly in my arms as I replayed the events of last night.. over and over. I marked her.. I couldn’t believe it.

I’ve checked her mark several times yet it stays in the place I’ve put it.. I had already been told she was my mate.. but to see my mark stay on her made it more real for me.

All of the guilt washed over me like I was being waterboarded. It was almost smothering me, but with her in my arms.. I could breathe.

I didn’t sleep at all last night. I was too afraid that I’d wake up and her mark would be gone. But it never vanished. She’s mine.. she’s really my mate.
