The Princess and the Sailor

I'm leaving the airport, headed for all or nothing.

This summer I worked hard and hard, in the hottest season ever and if I'm here right now, in what could be the real turning point in my life, I owe it only to myself.

Retreating every day dirty at home, full of dust and white lime is not for everyone.

Working as a bricklayer I don't know how many times I risked injuring myself by falling from a scaffold, while I was dancing like a tightrope walker - at twenty - thirty meters high.

So when a new opportunity was presented to me, it was like a pleasant breeze to me that blows across your face when you are sweaty and tired.

From an early age I was fascinated by the poems, stories and tales of the people who spent their time at sea, such as "The Old Man and the Sea" by Ernest Hemingway, "The Little Mermaid" by Hans Christian Andersen, the novels by Charles Dickens for not to mention Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

Traveling, I could finally realize what my dream really was: to travel the world at sea. You couldn't ask for anything better. I would have crossed international waters aboard an amazing Yacht: The Royal Fortune XVI ”.

Boarding for Ibiza

Right now we are headed to the Canary Islands. Immediately after leaving, I began to become aware of the boat.

There is an English flag hoisted on the stern pole. On the sides of the bow, the name of the ship is written in gold italics: "Royal Fortune XVI".

The Royal Fortune XVI ”is not just any boat.

Built in the 1980s, she is much superior in both size and workmanship to the most common ships. With over 50 meters in length, ebony and brass finishes, indoor swimming pool, she has 6 cabins for 12 guests and 6 cabins for 10 crew members. We are almost always full with guests, but unfortunately we almost always travel in small numbers with the crew.

On board, there are, in order of rank: a commander, first chef, two hostesses and two stewards, a sailor.

Each has the function of him, each has its specific role. My function, for example, is that of a sailor. My assignment is to do the dirty work, what the other higher ranks don't do: clean the hold, polish the brass, tidy up the cabins.

In theory, my job would be for a shipman, but given the small number of members on our ship, we sometimes have to do what we don't expect to do. At sea we adapt. To everything and everyone.

Even fixing the engine, for example, or checking that all the electronic and mechanical parts on board are working properly, that is a task that should normally be the responsibility of a machine technician. Yet even that annoying task is up to me.

In the summer, in the machine room where the engine is located, people die of heat. Yet I have to enter a narrow space where a thin man would hardly enter, to make sure among dozens of lights, levels and gauges that there is no failure, and that the ship never runs low on fuel, depending on the route. to keep.

The first officer, on the other hand, has the role of controller, making sure that the stewards and sailors do their duty. His job is also to train us and establish our work shifts.

Apparently there is a lot to study. It seems to be back in school.

Tests, questions and theoretical and practical targeted exercises serve to train us. The first officer questions us about everything: sailing maneuvers, navigation systems, technical terms.

The stewards look after the guests on board and provide them with assistance.

My supervisor is quite strict with his subordinates. He never wants me to refer to him only by his name, but always and only by the title of commander.

Commander and First Officer Jhon Graham earned this post after attending the best naval school in his city.

Son of an old retired cruise captain, from an early age he was immersed in a context made of sea and ships.

Before boarding the royal Fortune XVI, he had already sailed thousands of miles at sea as a passenger for a walk with his father. At 16, he had already seen almost all the most important routes and ports in the world.

Commander Jhon Graham is a lucky man and God willing I hope he realizes it.

I too dream of becoming one day like him. To be a commander.

For me he is a point of reference inside the ship. The most important and coveted figure.

But it will take a lot of money to get all the nautical licenses and patents that will allow me to climb, as well as many hours on board.

I take this experience as an adventure. This adventure has just begun but I already feel as excited as a first-grade child.

Jennifer

Tanned and shiny skin, dark black hair tied with a braid in an orderly manner, clean and impeccable uniform, green eyes like the Caribbean sea. “Wow! What a buzz this girl! "

As she steps onto the ship's wooden scaffolding to step aboard her I arch her back and hold out my hand to help her get on the ship. I extend one of her arms behind her back and the other facing her, as if wanting to kiss her hand.

In the open ocean the sun is very strong, even if skin burns are rewarded by enjoying the vision of the charming girl.

"Hi Jennifer ..."

"Hi Arthur ..." I introduce myself.

Jennifer looks like a model. Her sinuous body slides perfectly over her uniform, as if it had been tailor-made for her.

Suddenly the figure of the commander appears on board, in a blue uniform with a white hat and tie, with the yellow - gold degrees affixed to the sides of the jacket. Flawless.

Our regular uniform instead consists of a white shirt with short sleeves, white trousers and a white shirt, tie.

In an orderly line in front of him, we greet him with a military salute with a steady paddle gesture turned to the forehead. Next to me is Jennifer, the new stewardess, on my left, all the other crew members.

My first week on board

The first days of work went by very quickly.

I worked with dedication and to my surprise I realized that the sexy stewardess often looks at me. Will those looks be pure and simple coincidence?

However, the days go by quite well. Even if we work hard, in the evening we relax by talking about our life plans with the other members on board. Tomorrow there will be a small party on the ship to relax and get to know each other better ... usually day we are so busy working that we don't even have time to talk to each other, we are just intent on carrying out orders and orders, so I'm really curious to find out how it will go!

The party

Finally my working day has come to an end. I am going to my cabin tired, aware that a rejuvenating shower will soon put me in shape. As soon as I enter the bathroom I meet Amy who is taking a shower. Amy, the second stewardess, sleeps in the cabin with me.

"Hand me the bathrobe Arthur," she exclaims. I try not to look at it. I turn my head. I blush.

I reach out to hand her the bathrobe. She grabs him quickly covering her body, yet for a moment I catch a glimpse of his shapes.

He has really big breasts and a muscular physique.

She doesn't seem to be embarrassed at all.

Amy sleeps with me because when she arrived on the ship she declared that she was a lesbian and that she would rather sleep with a man in the cabin than with a woman. She in fact she can be noticed by her look and her way of doing: shaved hair, chronic disorder with her clothes, masculine attitude. I immediately became familiar with her from day one.
