BEN POV
"Ben, you need to ease up, man," Vince whispers harshly as he grabs my arm.
I snarl and jerk away from him. This is the best I have felt in almost two weeks. My body feels light and not sluggish... My attention drifts, and my eyes begin to watch the flames as they lick at the logs.
"Ben, you know what drinking does. The doctor told you never to drink again. Ben, listen, man, that shit is going to mess with your brain injury. You need to be sharp," Vince says harshly, and once again, I growl.
Ace and I need relief. How does he not get it? My mate is most likely going to reject me tonight.
"Mates.....I need this. We both are mateless," I slur while poking Vince in the chest. My brain puts together the fact that we both will be mateless.

BEN POV I groan loudly as I roll over. My head feels like it is splitting. My body feels like it was run over by a bus. I manage to make it to the restroom on autopilot. SASHA POV I stare at Ace's mark with mixed emotions. Part of me is happy that I am claimed. My mate and I are halfway to being whole. But the other part of me is worried. SASHA POV Ben's cheeks are flushed as he sits back down. Our bond is now whole, and the feeling is overwhelming. His emotions aren't just flowing within me. It is as if he is shooting them at me, and with each shot, they are shattering a piece of my uncertainty. I feel absolutely nothing that would lead me to believe Ben is trying to fool me.
