CHAPTER 34 - Disgrace, Jealousy and Kragen

Amarah opened her eyes at something tickling her on the face. She suddenly sat up straight when she saw that the sky is already light blue and white clouds slowly filling it, realizing that it’s already dawn. She looked around frantically and gathered that she must have fallen asleep when she took a rest from walking back home last night.

She braced one hand on the ground and gently stood up and finally taking off her other sandal, holding both on one hand as she slowly walked back the road, clutching her jacket tightly around herself. She then made her way back to the central grounds, limping and stopping from time to time when she felt some discomfort on her ankle.

Her stomach suddenly grumbled, and Amarah remembered that she hadn’t eaten well from last night’s dinner due to the hostility she felt from Clayton’s mom.
