“Are you sure? The pack will fight either way. Do you think that it is necessary for them to know you are a red wolf?” Callan asked, worry seeping from his voice.
“If they are going to fight for me, then they need to know that they are fighting for me. Plus, I am tired of hiding. After this, too many people will know I am a red wolf. I don’t want to stay hidden or running for the rest of my life.” I approached Callan as I spoke. I knew that he was worried but we were already fighting a great risk. I didn’t want the pack fighting for a hidden cause. I touched my hand to Callan’s arm, attempting to ease some of his worry.
“I know…I just want to keep you safe.” Callan said and I could tell that all of this is weighing heavy on him.

I stood in front of the packs, looking over the training field where all of the wolves had gathered. Callan stood close to me, his hand on my lower back as we stood in front of everyone. It was a mix of emotions that were felt throughout the crowd. There was a clear sense of satisfaction that we had been victorious in the battle.
